Session 155: Druids & Deer

General Summary

The group set up camp well away from the cluster of mimics and attempted to get a good night's rest.  All hopes of such were dashed, however, by Kaspar Clay's attempts at hunting.  The young genasi had been scouting in the forest and shot a deer to bring back to camp.  In reality, the deer was a druid, local to the area and wild-shaped to better spy on the newcomers.  Kaspar's actions were seen as an act of aggression by the druids of the area and they demanded he answer for his crimes.   The Dragon Punchers escorted him and his twin sister, Kaia to meet with the druid Elder.  Things took an unexpected turn when the group discovered the leader of this circle was an entity made entirely of bees.  Bart was able to successfully negotiate with the being to lessen its demands.  While initially they had demanded Kaspar's blood in payment, they settled for a task in exchange.  The group would attend to whatever "unnatural" presence had taken root to the northeast.  To seal the pact Kaspar was given a magical cloak to hold him to his word.   Chari, in the meantime, had only grown more concerning in her desire to consume not-strictly-edible materials.  Bartleby broke the wendigo skull, clearly the source of her odd behavior.  With the effect broken, the elf's system promptly rejected much of what she had eaten.  It was an unpleasant sight, to say the least.   With her system fully evacuated, and a magic debt enacted, the party moved northwards with relatively little incident until they decided to make camp for the night.
