Session 83: Roots & Recovery

General Summary

  The party landed, in various states of disarray, within a cold, temperate rainforest. Hoping to find each other, they made their way to abandoned giant ruins at the edge of the wood. Osdra had instinctively teleported to one of the many locations the Daikolakanu Herd used as respite in their nomadic travels. She did not, however, seem excited at the prospect of reuniting with her herd.   The party received a warm reception from the Daikolakanu, despite Osdra's hesitation. The group took the evening to recover while being regaled with tales of Osdra's childhood. "Squirreljumper", as she was fondly called within her clan, was less enthusiastic about the arrangement. Nevertheless, the safety and shelter was welcome. The group rested, enjoying a quiet moment of family amidst the chaos and trauma they'd experienced.   The cultist they'd rescued, Thavaughn, slipped out during the night. Chari left to track him down. The young monk found and rescued him from a bugbear ambush. However, she did not receive the thanks she was expecting. Chari found herself increasingly frustrated at Thavaughn's apparent lack of remorse. She personally escorted him back to Kellabine in the hopes that he would put his healing skills to good use.   The party reunited at Iriswood University, where they were preparing for the upcoming Festival of First Light.
