8-14 The Blood of the Moon Report

General Summary

The party finishes the investigation to find Elara was a vampire who was made bloodthirsty from the starvation and the fork that stabbed Serenade. She was being covered by Cyrus who realized that the village could not survive without her work on the spring, so he decided to protect her. The party convinces them and Lyra that they can come to an agreement to keep her in the village for people to possibly feed. With supplies, the party moves back to Arcadia where, near the border, they see a bright red streak cross the sky. The streak is revealed to be Zariel and Trogdor who try and warn Zulex of the trap of the Blood of the Moon.   They brought it to the mortal plane to try and have an easier time killing it. While that did help, it didn't stop the beast from sucking in and killing Caprice. The party holds her funeral before moving on.
