Session 50: Information Juggling Report
General Summary
The group begins just outside of the Mournlands near Vathirond city. Together they interrogated Gornhul until they felt confident that he was not going to be a risk. The truth came out about Trajan being the toddler the dragonman was looking for. Dealing with this reveal, Gornhul reeled a bit but seemed ok. The flashes of memories seem to differ from before and steadied, though the past one didn't seem to restore. On the first branch of travel, Nina and Trajan each receive a letter from Kitahn and Kivi, respectively. Nina seemed highly distraught by her letter, while Trajan kept his mostly to himself. The set then arrives to Starilaskur to get some care and rest, and access to House Sivis. Astara breaks up with Kitahn for Nina (and understand what she did AFTERWARDS and gives her adopted sibbling an earful). She also was able to contact Jin, and confirm that Trajan was alive, and lived in Fairhaven. Without hesitation, the sister left the call and informed her that "She was on her way!". Eavaan, Merta, Trajan and Senra head to the local Jorasco house of healing where cure wounds are handed, and Gornhul is 'studied'. It is confirmed that his memories lapse is similar to local issues noticed in the population around, but not like what Senra noted of Boroman or herself. His issues seem under control for now, but memories gone (the past 20 years or so) are not likely to return, but new memories should start to stick. The old dragonborn, due to this and his old age, will likely be in a bit of a mental fog, but remains operational and his pride, is intact. It is then revealed that the initial visit here was an important one, as the Council of the 9 in Argonessen sent the Faerxens to investigate an important prophecy, and were set to meet Eavaan's family, who had a stake in said prophecy then. It was also told that the family had their vacation bank account in the place, and that Trajan would have access to this. Though most of the funds would be back home in Argonessen. The group then travelled to Stokedown for a short stop, where Astara gave her goodbyes to Maverick (who never believed her) and retrieved her things. Nina also joined in but it did not drive the point home. He did say that he was on the edge of marriage with the baker's daughter, however. Eavaan stopped for a quick investment at the grocers that yelled at them as we child, but they seemed to not have much memory of the event and still, took for the investment to import some crops and add food diversity to the town. Astara then went to Auntie and confirmed that the two people who dropped her off, tying events together, were not likely her parents, but no name or hints were given. Just securing the image and visual memory of them. With teary eyes and pride for her growing up, Auntie said her goodbyes to Astara, wishing her all of Arawai's blessings with her. Stopping at Arcanix on the way home, Trajan was able to operate the prophecy grand device and set the fragments in order, for them to decipher: "When the unwanted makes its way to the singing light, but hides between shadows of the storm and lives with the loyalty of family and many identities, then the door shall once again be opened to the waking nightmares. The tale starts with fog walks and shared night stories, until the arrival of few in the coming of age. Ten to twelve, unlocks the door. Through the mandibles of hell, the magic beneath bolts it shut in three. Should the seed of mass discord spread before then, the door will bring a ladder to nightmares.". That new knowledge in tow, they then headed back home, while Gornhul left and split, returning to Argonessen to see the state of things despite Jin likely being gone. He promised to send news back to Trajan the moment he could. GAME END
