Party 1 Seassion 2 Report

General Summary

Ahm'ov Twomind arrived in Bavo'sand and after talking to City Centaurs was directed to Expedition staff within the city, after a quick conversation and explanation of his vision quest Nali'reen agreed to send him to the camp. Unlike the last group that got slightly off route Ahm'ov arrived at camp correctly.   The Party was called to a general meeting via steel fury members, Arriving at the central camp, they discover all the adventuring parties including the new team (group 2) and a large wooden table with a map of the continent in the centre, along with some areas marked out on it with some sort of magic colouring in where each group been already.   Enazel explains the plans along with the decision to avoid conflict with the People of the Woods for the time being so all parties were told to stay north of the river 2 days south of the camp, but that still left a large area to explore and to discovered.   The Party decides to head north to the next river mouth and manages to grab transport with the second ship heading back to the city. Shortening a week journey to only a few days. Once they made landfall, after a quick stop at the cave which seems to have collapse in on itself, they decided to travel down the river and explore the area to either side of it.   Which ranging out and travelling in land down the river, towards the middle of the first week in the wildness they came across a scene of some green skinned, augmented humanoids, with Metal Helms that seemed riveted on to their heads, and their forearms replaced with saws, blades and chain mauls. They were standing in front of a 7 foot wide entrance in a strange cliff face (around 25 - 30 feet long which sloped back but was out of place in the surrounding areas   Ahm'ov sent his familiar into the opening to see what it could see, it discover a metal 10 by 10 passage way heading down on a slope from opening, about 20 feet in came across some bodies of the creatures from outside and a bit further in found some doorways but couldn't get much beyond that due to the limitations of seeing though the familiar.   Robin decided to see how the Creatures would react as he walked pass them, nothing happened, Actino followed and his curious got the better of him and he tap one of the creatures on its metal head, at which point all 4 swarmed him trying to remove the aggressor, which Actino respond was to pull into his shell and weather the storm of blows coming down on him, his party members, rescued him from the beating slowly removing the creatures, some of them taking blows that would normally kill or at least put them out of the fight, removing limbs and caving in ribcage, but these things just kept fighting till the last.   After a short rest at the entrance they took they first steps inside. As they cross the threshold, Shard noticed spacing between the inside and the outside metal plating, almost as something could slide out or in to it. As they made the way down the passage way, noticing that with the light form the torch that the walls were a dark silver material, totally smooth and clearly not 100% natural. They passed the bodies of the creatures which seemed to be torn apart by claw and tooth rather than weapons at close expectation. They then managed to arrive at what could be doors, again slightly indented spaces with a frame round them, with a quick investigation they worked out a simple hand press on the door seemed to open them.   One the left side was a room with dozen's if not hundreds of books on metal shelving, Shard tried to pick one up and it crumbled in his hands, they left the rest alone.   One the right side was a single table, with a couple of chairs along with the remains of a humanoid figure (just the bones) and a small rectangle device with a glass front, and a number of buttons on it, which none of them had any ideas over.   While they were checking these rooms out the Paladin did decided to use his divine senses and got the sense of something further in pass were they were now. They travelled further down the passage to discover a destroy 4 legged metallic construct, with razor sharp claws and teeth, not sure if this was the creature that Robin had sense they moved careful down the rest of the corridor to a set of double doors in the same design of the single ones further up.   They decided to be careful and the Minotaur opened the door, after being bless and protected by Shard and Robin, and moved in careful to discover a large room as he cross the threshold both Shard and Robin felt their magic drop away from Bar-Rai. Bar-Rai stepped into the room at his feet was a tall elongate creature which had been augmented with metal tools coming out of its back over it shoulders and under its arms like a spider (think Doc Octopus), which had been ripped in two like the creatures early in the passageway down.   Looking round the room itself, he saw was shelving which seem to have some sort of purple shimmering light across all the shelves, down one side along with a large table and a second smaller desk with chair. On the other side was a large astrolabe armillary like device with the purple pink energy glowing off the centre that they used to with the crystal, and behind that there was one of the metal 4 legged constructs which as soon as the Bar-Rai stepped into the room head snapped around looking directly at him. Obviously Bar-Rai didn't wait to see what happened and charge the construct and laid a beatdown on it, which is friends joined in on. After a short brutal fight the creature was brought down.   The party started investigating the room, Bar-Rai looking at the astrolabe noticing the glow from the centre but had no idea what it was or did. Actino found a metal bowl on the large table with a silvery liquid inside it, which he decided to prodded with one his fingers as he touch the liquid the flesh on the finger was burnt away down the bone. Robin was checking out desk against the wall and discovered a heavy dark silvery ball the size of two fists. Which he picked up in his gloved hands. Ahm'ov took more interest in the elongate creature at the door way and decided to remove its spine. Shard went to look at the book shelves as he got close to them, there was a small metal Owl on a stand, which hooted at him, he decided to try and psconic link to it, which he felt a connection as the owl hopped from the stand to his arm.   Robin then asked Bar-Rai to take a look at the metal ball, which as Bar-rai took off Robin, the ball went from a hard sphere to a somewhat jelly liquid with flowed around Bar-Rai forearm then harder to create a metalic flexible gauntlet, after a brief shock of pain as it bound to Bar-Rai it didn't seem to cause him any problems.   After everyone finished looking at what they were already looking at they decided to take a look at the book shelves. Being concerned over the shimmering light, they decided Bar-Rai could use metal hand could see what happens, he managed to reach though it with no issues and grabbed a book, unlike the ones in the other room it was fine, and reading though it none of the party could read it but did pick out some Arcana Ritual runes in some of the diagrams within it. After that Robin grabbed a random book from one of the other bookshelves and again had no issue with the light, after checking the book it had the symbol of his god on one of the first few papers. Afterwards the group quickly scanned though the books and found 6 books which look like they had arcana info and 10 books with Religion icons in them. As well as one book which seemed to have some artwork of the silver globe that Bar-Rai now wore as a gauntlet.   While the books were being looked at Actino started to using the mending cantrip to put the 4 legged construct back together, which took him a good while. As well as Bar-Rai started to get a feeling for the gauntlet and managed to produce a small flat translucent plane a few inches in front of it, as well as worked out the astrolabe created sparks when near the arm for a period of time, almost like it was charging it. Once Actino had repaired the construct body and head a streak of lightning from the astrolabe hit it and the construct started trying to bite actino, but with the missing limbs it was easy to put down again.   After which they decided it be worth taking the construct back to camp along with some of the other items like the books they discovered and a vial of the silver fluid that Actino had found. So they headed back out of the structure and decided down the river a little further and then loop back round to the camp to the south west. During the journey back they ran into a large group of the what they started to think of as slaves cutting down trees and carrying them off east, after a few minutes of discussion over what to do, another one of the elongated humanoids appeared on the back of a very large Lizard creature (30 foot tail to head), which caused Ah'mov to rage and tried and charge it, lucky shard saw it and put him to sleep magically and got everyone out safety. Either after what felt like a pressure from thousands of minds pressuring on his head.   After that encounter they made it back to the camp and discussed their findings with Chen, Enazel and Darius and Darius took the books to the Crystal Mages to hopefully magically translate, and Chen took a great interest in the mechanical items brought back and Bar-Rai arm, and wanted to spend a time looking at everything.
