The Redbrand Hideout take 1 Report
General Summary
They went into the mansion to find it barren, eventually finding footprints down the stairs by the kitchen. They head in and find the satchel in the water. They evade the trap in the hallway, then killed the skeletons and the two ruffians in the crypt and cell room. They managed to get a safe short rest in while in the crypt. They took a short rest, during which a ruffian tried to sneak up on them but only ended up falling in the hole in the hallway. They then question the man who tells them • Black spider made some orders • A dwarf was here and then got taken to the castle (one of the brothers) • There is an Eye monster in the west hall, who they have avoided getting eaten from supposedly because of the food they threw its way • There are bugbears to the southeast that have keys • He referred multiple times to “glasstaff” They loot the north storage room and find a box of cloaks and some short swords. They gather Mira and her children and give Mira a sword. They did not kill the broken legged man, leaving him up in the hole. They kill the remaining ruffian in the east part of the hideout and tie him up and bring him with them, only after Mira got a failed attempt at killing him. Her boy washed in the cistern and left his dirty clothes in the water, on top of the blood that got in there from the man Aur kicked. Aur set fire to the beds and supplies on the east end (the secret door were shut and the house was shut so it will be very Smokey when they return). They led the family to Daren’s house who thanks them. Caelum convinces Sildar to help them clear the rest of the ruffians. Caelum then also goes and arouses Grista, who tackles him when he tries to take her battle axe. Caelum convinces her with a promise of 60% of the loot from the hideout
