Hunting the Arch Magus pt. 3 Report
General Summary
The Scions found the hidden entrance to the Orren Wren's basement with the help of Jerry, a talking door. Once in the basement the party is taunted by Orren Wren, saying that he has improved upon the work started by mad gnomish scientist Frank N. Stein and wants to see how the party stacks up against his latest creations. The party dispatches a group of mechanical cobras. Jerry, after initially protesting Mork using him as a large blunt weapon, decides he enjoys the bloodlust and begs the party for further battle. The party obliges by fastening knives, spikes, and other sharp implements to Jerry, making him a battle-door. The party also finds a series of blueprints and notes for soul-powered devices near a forge, proof that Chandrilla will need if she wants to put Orren on trial. After heading through the southern door the party is ambushed by clockwork horrors, brains in cases with sharp beaks and circular saws on the ends of mechanical arms. Rayuuv dispatches most of the horrors by casing control water and causing their brain jars to explode, and Mork destroys the remaining horror with a critical hit from Jerry. The party must now further explore the lab, and see if they can stop Orren once and for all.
