Back to Monterra pt. 2 Report

General Summary

The Scions' army decisively routed the Brotherhood, suffering minor casualties.  However, the hobgoblin commander captured by the Scions' forces reveals that the battle was a ruse - Trogdor seeks to kill the traitor Abraxis, and they are too late.  He mentions the Wyrmstealer will destroy the traitorous dragon, which confuses Wanda as she is with the party.  She then realizes the hobgoblin must be referring to her variant, Syllin.   You decide to check on Abraxis, and find his lair littered with dead kobolds and elves.  Rayuuv peers into his orb and sees visions of a battle that took place, kobolds fighting kobolds, and a red-haired warrior drawing a sword in front of Abraxis.  The Scions fly up an escape chimney to find Abraxis surrounded by Syllin and her kill squad.  Abraxis is cornered, and begs the Scions to help him.   Syllin asks the Scions not to intervene - they are not enemies, and she is bound to do Trogdor's bidding.  The Scions ask what's going on - she's supposed to hate dragons.  Syllin tells the party that when they trapped her in a pocket dimension the Red Dragon Tyrant was spared, and she was forced into the dragons' servitude.  Trogdor is the direct descendent of the Red Dragon Tyrant, and Trogdor has ordered Abraxis's death.   The Scions refuse to back down.  When Rayuuv pulls out a rope and starts swinging it like a lasso, Syllin sighs and raises her sword.  "Looks like we're doing this."
