Hunting the Arch Magus pt. 2 Report

General Summary

The party decided to follow up on the lead from the docks, and went to investigate the Fire Forge's guild hall.  On the way they encountered a wizard named Merlin whose store had been robbed.  The inquisitors didn't seem very intent on helping him, and it turns out the only thing stolen were his stock of crystals.  Rayuuv realizes that these are components used to either create or dispel warding spells, but Merlin isn't sure exactly what type of ward the components can be used for.   Once they enter the shop, the party discovers that "Angus" is a prototype and there are multiple "improved" versions of him for sale at the store.  Angus wants the party to murder the store owner, Orren Wren, in broad daylight, but the party decides to investigate instead.  Orren notices the party's interest in several expensive artifacts, and offers to part with them in exchange for a "special arrangement" - work that only the party is capable of doing.   The party reports their findings to Chandrilla, who is concerned that Orren is indeed harvesting souls to power his magical artifacts after seeing Angus.  She needs proof though, and asks the party if they'd be willing to voluntarily walk into a trap to gather evidence.  She hands Rayuuv a mysterious stone, she says that if they get into a situation they can't get out of, Rayuuv will know when to use the stone.   The party enters the Artificer's hall at the strike of 10.  Once they enter the doors slam shut and they are attacked by HK-74 and BNDR-1, as well as clock Besir.  The part destroys HK-74 and the besir, and BNDR surrenders.  He tells the party Orren can be found in his secret lab in the basement, but refuses to go down there.  He agrees to be the party's bootlicker/lackey, but is killed by Oren when he attempts to leave the shop.   Mork finds Zoidberg's Visage, a plague doctor's mask with legendary powers.
