Session 97.b: Random Encounter Report

General Summary

Reolus gets a day round Eschbach catching up with elements.   The day starts with him getting a bit of food at the Eschbach Shields. A man seems to be a bit of a nuisence at the tavern bar. Turns out he has left a flyer, and still walking round the tavern.   Talking to Baldwin, the guy happens to be a Bounty Hunter looking for "Unesireables", mainly Tielflings & Dragonborn, but almost any non-human or human-like beings would do. Also, he has strong contacts with the more hardline elements of the Ulmist Inquisition, and as hardline as them.   Reols mentions to Baldwin if the bounty hunter creates any bother to alert one of the team orthe Burgeaters.   He then went to the Brewery where he sees the teams getting ready to start brewing. He advised the lead brewer / foreman to brew up a few medium ales to see which to work with and get the procvess going. Hopefully bring in a few coin too if & when they sell it off.   After going to the grove after hearing in the bar they have shut it down after a surprise. There he finds the green dragon egg has hatched and able to eat already. It certainly likes meat but seems to really enjoy the meat poisoned due to it's poison breath.   They have moved the others and spread them out to stop them getting at each other. The griffon has grown a bit and able to be left to go round the grove with no bother and seems used to others. The wyvern has calmed down but needs space to help grow. It still has a bit of a temper but not as bad. It hasn't killed any cats since tho.   Both Reolus & Druidess Emma Duckthorne both agree the dragon is the one to really keep an eye on. It'll take years, decades, even centuries to get to full size. It needs to pick up that not all are prey or out to harm it, but the nature of it can over-ride this and it may look to dominate those around it.   If it gets to large & aggressive it may leave and be too dangerous to live. Emma is putting the call out to get other druids & cleric to train them up, along with the odd paladin & fighter who will become dragonslayers if need be, with this one in particular.   She gave Reolus a metal pin in the shape of a mistletoe leaf & fruit, so other druids can see he is affiliated with them.   The bounty hunter makes a scene at the grove entrance.   Reolus goes to fill in the council. They give him a pin as well, in the shape of a red shield & white stripe. This allows him to act on behalf of the council & Grimmaz when they're unavailable. Another two sit for Eleia & Anselma giving them the same rights.   He also heard in the grove about a diamond-like crystal called the Heart of Darkness hidden in an old Celtic site in the east. It gives him an idea that both it and maybe the bounty hunter could be dealt with by a shadowy individual seen around town at times. This individual is familiar and seems to have started sorting out 'problems' fo others.
