Session 30: Irresponsible Clemency Report

General Summary

29th Misuthar 836PD   Sabetha the assassin turns out to be a very attractive, redheaded human woman. She is disarmed and interrogated, bound with her hands behind her back as she describes how she was hired by Arinoth via his lieutenant Norgin Deg. The location the group were being sent to is just another front for their business, and a convenient destination for being ambushed en-route. 400 gold is taken from her as well as a note from Arinoth giving the descriptions for all seven of the party. She explains their mission but refuses to out more of Arinoth's information, in fear of her life.   After the group (and Sabetha) are healed up and rested, the assassin is advised to make herself scarce and the team swing back to have a violent word with Norgin. Discussing how to approach gaining entry, Theia suggests searching for a hidden tunnel in case they have an escape route, and her, Gwen and Jakuki proceed to break into a viable building at the back where a sleeping guard is found. Sneaking up on him and disarming him, he rapidly turns out to be a young lad guarding a fairly innocuous storeroom, and no passages, trapdoors or stairs are found. Theia hands the kid two gold coins by way of an apology and for his silence, then they leave and Gwen re-locks the door behind them leaving the kid confused.   Lacking any alternative, they agree to approach the Warty Hag from multiple directions, hopefully being able to break in the back and overrun the guard in the front at the same time.
