Session 18: Frog's End Report

General Summary

24th Mithusar 836PD Bullywugs scream and ears bleed. Both sides flail at one another and eventually all foes fall, excepting the leader with the spear, who rapidly takes off to the North and deeper into the swamp. Gwen peppers the retreating figure with a few more arrows, but bleeding profusely it slinks off into the water before a fatal blow can be struck.   The blood trail is followed, broken branches and old planks betraying the fleeing bullywug's intended path. After shooing off a crocodile and slogging through the mire, the group come across the semi-conscious form of the escapee. Ongar seizes it, and as they discuss who gets it - it ends up with Jakuki - Roddy drives a blade into the bullywug's throat and finishes it off.   Realising that the sun is setting and there is no way to reach the boat before it leaves, Roderick suggests investigating the nearby ruined building, which looks to be the shell of a waystation or inn. Tracks of bullywugs and other, larger, bipedal bearlike creatures of some unknown kind. They decide to bed down in what remains of the building in absence of a better shelter. Theia lights a torch and magically reduces down the flames, handing it to Ongar so he can see his way around. Two dry portions of the building, precarious but intact, are identified to bed down on. The need for a fire is soon determined to stave off the chill, damp air.
