Session 11: A Hell of a Summer

General Summary

The session begins with Maisie, Kerberos and Gaerreak investigating the dungeon...

They find a barely lit decrepit dungeon; first entering a hall with a circle of cells.
Here they investigate the cells, using the ring of keys nailed to a pillar. All but one cell is empty...
Gwen is missing from the cells, though no sign of struggle can be found.
Instead the party finds a pile of old bones. The left hand was arranged so a small rock was placed in the center of the palm.
A card with a mysterious crest on it and a single raven feather is found.
Maisie realises the crest is on the same card given to her by Julio and decides to investigate later.
They also hear chanting in the distance and go to investigate. Not before Kerberos tears off a cell door to use as a makeshift shield.
On a crumbling balcony, the party sees a small gathering worshiping Asmodeus.
They decided to try and break into Victoro's desk to get more evidence before reaching out to The Harpers for renforcement.
Before leaving the dungeon, the stone informs Maisie to look for a child with golden hair for the unicorn.

Once back in the cellar, the party is confronted by Madame H.
She curses them out for interfering in her plans to get the Vault for herself.
She then becomes visibly affraid as it appears that her goddess Beshaba strikes her down dead then and there.
The party, unsure of what to do, simply dumps the corpse in with the bone cell.
Using his homonculus Roach, Gaerreak causes a distraction and is able to steal the unicorn stuffie, setting off a chain of events.
Gaerreak picks the office door lock.
Kerberos opens the door and runs to yeet the desk out the window.
The guards take notice so Maisie reacts by dropping a fog cloud.
Both the Helmed Horror and guards are unable to stop the party, this will negativley impact their performance review!
The party then books it back to Trollskull Manor.

The desk is smashed open back in the tavern.
A solid gold holy symbol of Asmodeus and several money lending contracts are found.
Gaerreak goes to present this evidence to Mirt and seek renforcments to deal with the Cult of Asmodeus.
Kerberos stays put in the Tavern, collecting himself after all the excitement.
Maisie investigates the crest, both Vincent Trench and Volothamp Geddarm don't give her new information per say but confirm stuff she most likley already knew.
This crest does not belong to anyone in Waterdeep or any notable family in Faerûn.
There have been longstanding rumors of people disapearing (outside the usual causes like enslavement), this may be connected to the Shadowfell.
Within the Shadowfell there are pockets that are considered so dangerous that even the natives avoid going near them.

It sure is amazing what a Feign Death spell can do.
Anyways, Madame H dusts herself off and resolves to gtfo before things get worse.
She checks to see if the party went back to the tavern and sees Kerberos is still there.
Books it over to Mirt but just missed him... so she reports to Renaer Neverember
Renaer takes her intel, informs that the Cult is a more pressing threat and then the Vault can be delt with.

Session ended with everyone arriving at Cassalanter Villa, ready to raid the premises.
