Mhurren's First Session Report

General Summary

Mhurren left the only home he ever knew, planning on going to the Chieftain's feast but instead getting teleported to the Dotharan Mountains. Earlier in the day, Torvald and Dresik, two of Lt. Bharmog's best men, bested Mhurren in his last training sess (it was a particularly difficult one). Believing Torvald to be still resting from their last training session, he was unprepared for the combined efforts of both his sparring partners.   After saying goodbye to his childhood friend and crush Yamna Sleer, he and Elder Camar prepared to teleport in the Elder's Chambers, but the teleportation went wrong, and the last Mhurren heard of Camar was a piercing scream before he awoke surrounded by the frostblasted upper Dotharan Mountains.   Seeking refuge from the cold, he found an abandoned temple of sorts. Finding a hidden staircase, he made his way from the receiving room to the antechamber, where he was attacked by an ice mephit. Besting the mephit with ease, Mhurren then discovered a talking magic door, who would ramble too easily. Upon saying "open", the door revealed a staircase leading to magical darkness. Using his flint, he sparked one of the torches and used it to light more, pushing back the almost physical darkness.   Awakening both the elven statue and the Frost Giant within the holding room, Mhurren and the mystery fighter defeat one more ice mephit before the giant attacks. The mysterious fighter stays behind, facing certain death, while Mhurren escapes. Upon making it out of the dungeon however, the frost giant bursts through the rubble of the receiving room and closes the distance, before a pulse of warmth across Mhurren's chest reveals the mysterious elf, who deflects the giant's blow. The commotion of the awakening and the ensuing fight made the surrounding area unstable, and the last blow from the giant breaks the ground from under, and the giant is swept away by an avalanche.   What will happen to Mhurren, lost in the cold..?
