Session 2: The Aftermath Report

General Summary

After making sure that Adityo Ambegan is going to be okay, the party decided to explore Eriati's Place a bit. They found some suspicious scorch marks in the basement, some pools of blood, and what looks like a collection of blackmail for Sambugan 's contacts. They tried to question Sambugan about this, but he refused to answer any questions.   They headed up to the academy via Ambegan Station W5 and were greeted by an enthusiastic teacher who showed them around the Sehih Academy, including their statue of Eriati Bek-Guru, the founder of the academy. The tour ended at the Sehih Library on level 4, the research level. Though there are security measures in place for members of other tribes, the party was able to circumvent them because they were disguised as Sehih citizens (thank you, Sambugan).   While in the library, Kunthara Guru happened upon the party. Because he was at the meeting of The Intertribal Council, he recognized the party and began explaining to them his reason for visiting Station N3. He received a message from his sister, Adhiko, who is Promise-Bound. Apparently there was some disturbance there and Adhiko thought his perspective would be useful. He pointed the party towards Sura Murid, who visited the station that day as well.   Sura was there that day to study. She invited Jabal Murid because he's studious and she wanted to run her notes by him. While there, she was given prayer pouches and a note telling her to plant them at the site of the destroyed station. She did this. She tells the party this reluctantly, then hurries off to get Jabal.   Jabal went there hoping for a date with Sura (Kunthara was also hoping for this). He was suitably disappointed when all they did was, in fact, study. He saw some guy give Sura a love letter and some flowers (the prayer pouches were concealed inside) and left soon after. He noticed a couple more people around the ambegan station as he came back, but nothing other than that.   Ade Murid went to the station to do some field work for his studies in intertribal tensions. He's hoping to be recruited into the ice trade and figures getting really good grades has to help with that. He's roommates with Takat Murid, and tells the party that he's been visiting a lot of ambegan stations lately, but narrowed it down to stations N3 and N4, and seemed to know that an attack would be happening. Takat hasn't been seen since the attack.   The party left after talking to Ade and returned to Eriati's Place. After conferring with Sambugan, they agreed that Takat is their best suspect, but Sura looks fishy as well. They return to the academy to capture Sura. They successfully knock her out (after confirming she is, in fact, Darkened) and try to sneak out, but Kelajuan runs into a bookcase and knocks it down, alerting 3 other students and a teacher to the issue.   When we come back: combat.
