Session 4, Confrontation Report

General Summary

Act 1: Return to the afterlife

As the session starts, returning from the sewers and Gamma, Otto receives a message from a member of his cult, informing that someone had showed up and asked for his location, something they had been granted and headed that way for. When Otto asked for more details, he was told that it had been hard to tell if it was an android or a robot, but that they had been "glorious"
Meanwhile Dumitru, tasked to carry the young boy of Gamma, received a automated message from a security camera, showing a figure outside the club. B.U.N. When the group returned to the club, they found B.U.N indeed there, waiting for them, saying that she was ready to help fill her primary objective, "Service" Dumitru took to leading everyone in, after a lengthy discussion went down in regards to visiting a "Freddys" (god damn it guys, love ya~)
Once inside, Andrew was quick to ask for a shower, something Ara was able to show him to inside of an upstairs private room, a shower equipped with a large number of aids, such as automatic heat adjustment. after a brief showcase of how the systems worked, Ara let Andrew be alone to try and take his first ever warm shower, least in water form. as she took care of getting the children from gamma a bath, leaving the others to discuss augmentations...

A Newfound Mother

Taking the children to another room, Ara made a bath, preparing it with bubbles, much to the delight of both her new daughter and son, who till this point in life, had not gotten the chance to see such a thing, except maybe in old magazines. and staying away from bubbling water was common practice in Gamma. but here, they were given a chance to get properly clean, for the first time in years. and truly relax, without having to be dead tired and asleep for it.
While keeping Tim above the water surface, and enjoying the simple delight of a bobbing rubber duck with him, Ara choose to give both children new names. offering Tim the name "Kyu", and the girl the name "Candice" the latter of which threw her arms around her new mother's neck in a thankful embrace, as she finally had a REAL name.

Desperate times

While Ara took care of the children, downstairs, the discussion carried on in regards of how to handle getting Tim, now Kyu, a new leg. as the one he had right now, evidently would not last. the kid had needed help getting anywhere, and even crutches might still have him requiring much time to get back physical strength.
However, there was one way out. Otto mentioned how he knew a doctor who could help out with upgrades, someone who knew how to properly do it, and who could do it without indocrination into a cult for a payout. something Dumitru took on as a thing he was willing to do, as the children's new parent in effect.
Once Ara returned and heard of the plan, her immediate reaction was to ask if there wasn't a professional doctor, however, she was told that both "The Doc" was a professional, but more importantly, he would be willing to operate on a mutant, something that a professional doctor would either charge a heavy overprice for, or flat out refuse. with the latter being a far more likely option.
After the discussion, Otto contacted the Doc, letting him know that he had a kid that he picked up in Gamma who needed surgery. informing that there was people who wanted the operation, who didn't want the kid in the cult, but who offered to pay for the service. The doc, agreeing that he could take it on, considering there was payment involved, and that he anyway wished to speak to Otto.
One other person who took to joining the crew, was Andrew. who had been facing his own challenge in the big city while Ara took care of the kids. getting stuck in the shower for quite some time, enjoying it as Ara had set it up for him. though as he went to turn it off... he managed to turn off the wrong thing. deactivating the automatic heat adjustment, he then proceeded to first douce himself in cold water, promting himself to turn the heat up, scolding himself as he began to struggle with the rest of the buttons. in a scramble, he was able to fight the door to the point of getting it open, and falling down on the floor outside the shower, scuttle away from it, looking back at the horrors of how far machines could go in dooming humanity.
Truly, the age of man is closing its end.  

Act 2: The Cathedral

A awkward journey

Getting in the car, the group drove towards the outskirts of the city, on the way, Otto received a message from the doc, containing two images, and a simple question.

"As you have interacted with a prostitution android presently, mayhaps you are able to assist in answering, which one looks more convincing?"

Something which Otto had to ask to Ara, hiding the name of the contact, and being given the answer in turn that "The smaller one is more common, but the bigger one looks more fleshy" and soon enough, began to be pressed for the answer as to whom sent the images, particularly as Otto had gone on Do Not Disturb. "This person means allot to me" and the grave was dug deeper and deeper.

Old Debts

As the party arrived at their destination, they came to a cathedral with Gothic inspirations. while built with a style which was certainly of the era of the day, it looked to try and mimic a time long gone. however, the endeavor appeared to have failed, as the location was abandoned.
With Otto leading the way, and giving a password at a slate of stone, the party was received by a man in a nurses outfit, who told them the DOC-t0r was awaiting them. Though, when growing apparently excited at the prospect of new members to the cult, Otto made it clear that this would be a paid job, and that the man would do best to not hurt the kids

"We wouldnt want anyone to find out what you did back in 03"

The man simply laughed forcably, and agreed, leading the way down into the crypts, and onwards to the "Hospital"  

Act 3: DOC-t0r

Desperate Messures

As the party are lead down into the crypts, they arrive in a sterile hospital environment, the old space transformed into a clean hospital, free from contamination. a strange contrast to the space above, though as they arrive at the office of the head of operations, it becomes time to make a deal...
The figure they met, was a hunchbacked android, perhaps six foot four, with a large box on his back, set with a glowing eye looking object. something Ara and Dumitru would recognize as a android brain. the Doc inquired about the operation in question, and approached Kyu, with a demeanor which did not appear hostile, but still more professional then kind. shaking the hand of the young boy, after Ara told him not to be afraid.
When he informed that he could make the operation happen, Ara asked to be alowed to go with the kid, but was told the Doctor could not offer such a deal, as he wished to get to know her better himself. When Candice spoke up however, asking for the same, his tone was different.

Candice: "I know mom couldn't go with, but can I be there with him?"
DOC-t0r; "If the mother allows if, I can permit this."

The offer was accepted, though there was one final deal before the Doc called upon the surgeons. Otto approaching him, and asking to have the upgrades he had been earning up were given to the kid. The doc considered it for a moment, giving pause for the thought, before accepting.
The Doc then called upon two surgeons, Asriel and Lazerus. telling them to undertake the surgery of replacing the boys leg. telling them to make sure they made a good job of it.

"And if you fail me..." The doc thought "Never mind... you won't."

Perspectives

As the party was left alone with the doc, he asked that someone close the door, and once they where secluded, began to ask a few simple questions. first, he asked what Otto was to the group of outsiders, being told a variety of things
"A partner in crime, and a friend" -Dumitru
"Poggers" -B
Anad named as friend by most of the party (possibly minus Andrew)
After Otto was stunned by these signs of kindness, Doc asked him, what they were to him... Otto expressed that they where friends. and began to then speak of maybe upgrades wasn't everything. That maybe he should even leave. upon which, the Doc gestured for him to turn around...

Otto. please look at your. "friends". I would Like you to see thingsfrom my perspective...

  Once his back was turned, the Doc pulled out a weapon, a captive-bolt gun. and fired. shooting it straight into Ottos spine, letting it jet out the front, as Otto began to feel his vision fade, his eyes flickering.
Otto asked forgiveness for having not been able to be of more help, before he slumped to the ground, the lights of his eyes within the cloak starting to slowly fade.

The Battle

As soon as they saw Otto's eyes grew dim, the party ran forth, Dumitru rushing to catch and start to stabilize the mechanics of the cyborg, as the clasping together of two switch-katanas and the unfolding of a mantis blade rushed up to guard the fallen body, whilst Ryan kicked over a chair, using it as partial cover from behind which to give cover fire for Andrew, pulling his guns, as DOC-t0r sought to approach his fallen pet, finding in merely any time, his left arm blown aside by shotgun fire from H.O.R.N.Y, and while he wished to stab at the wounded acolyte of his cult, his surgical equipment was blocked by an X, formed from three blades, locking his tools from impaling anything but air. and while Dumitru was able to stabilize the fading of Otto's consciousness, the doc pointing his bolt gun forth, he found it shot apart by a well-placed bullet from Andrews pistols, shattering the chamber and scattering parts across the floor.
As the Doc voiced his rage, he reached out with his arms for the throat of the acolyte he had spent over four years working on, exclaiming how this was "Another favour for her" only to face the amassed force of those who the cyborg, who had taken a name of those who asked him to sod off, had been named friend of.
As the Doc reached down, his abdomen hit against the barrel of an armatech assault rifle, while the side of his head got to hear the threat of a intelligent gun. right before all the bullets flew, a mantis blade took the arms from his back, and katanas pryed loose the android brain.
then, there was a loud blast.
The head of the android was shot clear away, leaving nothing but a cracked half of a face plate. the abdomen launched backwards by the bullets of the assault rifle rose the body up, letting a old munition pierce where a heart would have been if the thing ever had one.
As the body fell down, the party imidiatly went to pool their work into Otto, Dumitru quickly getting back onto helping the efforts, with the aid of Ara and Andrews knowledge within technology and mechanicsm and managed, to stabilize, and bring back to consciousness, Otto Soddov. for a brief moment...
 

Act 4: Goodbye

Getting Otto back to consiousness, he was hazed, but asked for what had happened getting told that he had been shot in the back, but being in denile of it being the doc. the party told him not to strain hmself, at which point it hit Andrew and B-4 that the kids where still with Lazerus and Asriel, setting of in a dash down the corridors to the operating hall.
What they found, was that Kyu had gotten his surgery, the leg that previously had been a mass of bulbous tumours now a mechanical augment. nothing fancy but something that was filling the kid with amazement, as the surgeons was checking that the end result was working as intended, Kyu moving his new leg up and down in astonishment.
This placed Andrew and B in the awkward spot of trying to explain their position, though they where given an easy way out as the surgeons where thinking that surely the doc had said they could come in. while in the other room, Otto was being talked to, told to take it easy as he wanted to get to the kids. his legs not working due to the bolt through his lower spine, he required the help of Ryan and Dumitru to steady himself, getting carried over their shoulders, feet dragging across the floor through the corridor.
As he arrived, Kyu looked over, his face going from a astonished smile, to utter concern, as he hopped down, exclaiming the cyborgs name, only to find himself start to fall to the floor, though leaping forth and catching him was B, breaking the kids floor against the hard floor, speaking under her breath

"Thats the second time I save a kid from Gamma"

The surgeons exclaimed as well, asking if everything was alright, Otto telling them that the Doc had said he would be gone for some time, something the surgeons accepted rather easily. after which, Otto asked to be lowered to the floor.
When he was, he spoke to Kyu, making light of his situation to some degree, cracking jokes about how he might have literally been stabbed in the back. slowly starting to feel himself fading again.
Otto spoke of feeling tired, and needing a nap. his new friends starting to speak "no no no no" but not till there was Lazerus, a member of the cult, who walked over, and spoke Ottos name, slapping him on the cheek, telling him to "Not yet, stay awake Otto." That the man agreed.

Preacher, your word lives on with me. Sleep well.

With that, Otto Soddov, born in Gamma, made a cyborg by the Church of Assension, and having at last found friends. Closed his eyes, and calmly took his final breaths.
