Unfinished Business Part 3 - The Cave Attacks Back

General Summary

The New Champions continued to journey deeper into the heart of the 'abandoned' DEMON lair -- only to find unexpected warmth, condensation, and plant-growth covering the ground.   Those who could fly chose to remain above the marshy plant-life, but Nemesis trudged through the flora, narrowly avoiding sharp spikes that spring from the ground, made of earth and stone. At the very same moment, the cave floor erupted with stones that animated quickly to form three small stone golems. Eyeless and featureless, they moved toward the group slowly and menacingly.   With blow after blow, the team was unable to harm the golems. Finally, Faust grabbed one golem and Nemesis mustered all of her strength and sword to slice it in half. Still, the golem remained animated.   Windwalker poofed onto the scene and moved into defensive action -- teleporting one of the golems behind a solid door (and out of the main cave area).   Watching Faust and Nemesis' approach, Ghost followed suit and grabbed the last nearby Golem. But it rained down stone on her while she held it. In the next moment, Windwalker teleported it behind the solid door as well.   Faust and Nemesis continued after the last remaining Golem hacking it again and splintering it into pieces. The rocks shattered across the floor, though they each grabbed a piece...which seemed to remain with a "will" -- attempting to move back together and reform the golem. Faust put a piece of the stone golem in his pocket...Nemesis ingested the piece she grabbed, the hollow of her mouth becoming a fiery blaze...and the piece of stone was destroyed.   Wildthing, with the spirit of the eagle appearing around her, blew all of the remaining pieces of the stone golem into various directions.   But as the wind died-down, the sound of banging and crashing could be heard behind he door where the two stone golems had been teleported by Windwalker. But now, a much louder and deeper howl could be heard behind the same door.   The fight is not over yet...in fact, it is just beginning. The cave is just beginning to fight back.   The story continues on Wednesdays at 8PM central. Watch the video of the session below:
