Session 13: Twilight of Bjerglys Report
General Summary
The rest in the woods was disquiiting . while Thordun experimented with glimmerore and charcoal finding that they reacted quite explosively the others took a chance to gather their its. They had Just brought Muk Yuk back from the dead- how that had happened or worked they did not know, though His skin was now pale and things he touched kept freezing. after they had slept in shifts they realized that a cloud of smoke appeared in the sky- over what must be Bjerglys village. knowing that Tinning was still at alarge they prepared and then went to town. Along the way they found a wounded woman, an earth elemental they had met in the mine named micaiah who was dying- she told them that the mine had been raided and tinning had capptured them all. Soren experimented putting some of the earth from the emerald rest on her, which seemed to awaken her inner elemental. Her skin covered in rock and she became focused on one thing- Revenge. A quick reconnaisance made it clear that something was afoot. most of the town at been dismantled and everything flammable put onto a great pyre. The party engaged when they saw that Tinning was leading some sort of ritual, and the populace of the town was throwing themselves onto the fire- strengthening it. at its center was the Citrine forgegem being licked by flames. A quick but brutal battle ensued, the pyre itself came to life- crashing down to form massive fire walls, lifting Tinning on a pillar of flame, and igniting the very stones of the earth. Micaiah was quickly rendered asunder while thordun tokk fire ball after fireball. Killians communication with the spiirits let them pass into the ward around the pyre and Soren realized he could disrupt the circle with the rain he summoned. Muk Yuk had one goal and his name was tinning.- summoning fist of pure wind he took him down from the skies, allowing killian and soren the focus spells on him. A final aerial fist threw tinning into the pyre- only to arise moments later as a massive flame wraith screaming he took down thordun and nearly Soren aswell- though nothing seemed to concern Muk Yuk, who with is frosty hands took it on himself to smash the wraith asunder with his flurry of blows. and so the wraith fell aswell leaving only the massive pyre still flailing after the interrupted ritual- Killlian realized that the opal forgegem must be the source of its power and so he ran out to meet Uradil to take the rods of power from the Ribhus- and using them he manipulated the opal wawy and finally the fire died down. ransacking the village they found many riches- not least among them a circle with a large amethyst within it and also a letter from an agent of house Tripalkin confirming htey had been responsible for the fall of Ribhus and had taken the amethyst forgegem for unkown reason. The party returned to the Forge with the forgegems, leaving the Village of Bjerglys to its sad fate. At the forge they returned the Gems correctly and Ribhus was freed meeting them shortly after in the Forge room. Moving the man was a Giant. though clearly jolly from being released from his 30 year prison. He seemed to believe them when they said that they did not know what happened to the aquamarine though he looked intensively at Muk Yuk. Saying he would be happy to make his part of the deal he took their materials and gave them a one way transport box in which to give them o them once they had left. He implored them to spread the word of Bjerglys- he needed new miners after all!.
