Taki Hoshi Liberation Report

General Summary

A lottery was held the morning following their arrival to Taki Hoshi. Using the commotion to their advantage, everyone but Yuuna turned invisible and snuck into the destroyed portion of the city. Finding the samurai barracks burned down and empty, they decided to use it as their base of operations. They waited for Yuuna to join them and started planning on what to do. Using Yuuna's Sending ability, they learned from Mifune that he'd sent Rei, Ayaka, Mumei, and Pietdidro to the Dessert Cities to investigate their situation and that apart from a handful of Onmyouji he could send them, they were on their own. They decided to strike the following morning, using the Onmyouji Mifune sent as a distraction. After throwing themselves into the fray, it was revealed that Hiro had been Sakakibara the whole time, while the one dressed as him was a woman called Wraith. After a brutal combat, Benkei succeeded in slaying Wraith and trapping her soul in a soul cage. While Raishin, Yuuna, and Vuzath held the approaching waves of Disciples at bay, Sakakibara clashed with Yukimura, using the mobility granted to him by his Kyotouryuu to teleport from structure to structure. Eventually, he was cornered and Benkei was able to bring him down with a Cone of Cold. Seeing this, the just arrived Disciples temporarily retreated, allowing the group plus Shinya, the one surviving Onmyouji to make their escape to Daimyo Masaharu's estate, where they discovered the teleportation sigil had been destroyed.
