Session V - When Bad turns out Good - 8th of Tulth

General Summary

o Shortly after your arrival in Therldin, you all spend a night at the inn, and then proceeded to seek out the Heralded Blades for work. Upon arriving at their fortress, you all spoke with a man named Pelith, who acts as the general recruiter. He gave you two potentials contracts. One to seek out a lady supposedly in the forests north of the town, or help to solve some problems in their work camp. You wanted to take both, but were forced to only take the work camp contract. o As you reached the camp it became clear it was more of a slave camp. After being let in you all proceeded down into the mines. After some guidance you reached a shabby wooden blockade. The group of miners behind the blockade were scared and unwilling to speak with you all. But after a few acts of trust and strong persuasion, you were let behind the blockade. As you spoke with them, you all devised a plan to allow them to leave the camp, while also getting your pay for the contract. o Nayr had managed to scare everyone out of the mine by making it seem like it was collapsing. Before you all ascended, you cuffed the miners to make it seem as though they were captured. As you came up however, after a sparse conversation with one of the guards, Quinterra lifted up her hands and shot a blast of fire at the gate in addition to an explosion. This almost collapsed the gate, but wasn’t quite enough. In the chaos Quinterra was captured, while the rest of the group left. o The party proceeded to receive the money for their contract and retrieve the next one. Quinterra was lightly interrogated, before she was left alone. In this opening, the party went and grabbed the horse they had purchased earlier, and charged the gate. After bashing through the wreckage the gate fell. A flood of hundreds of slaves dashed for the door. In the commotion you all retrieved Quinterra and headed back to the cart, and joined the slaves in fleeing the town. You all began travelling north to the forest, hoping to speak with this Lady.
