Upon traveling to new lands, the party ran into a man by the name of Gregor Eser who lead them to the town of Treberick. There he offered them 2000gp if they investigated the town of Jolswen and looked into the rise in beasts south west of the town.
The following day, the party sought out Jolswen. When they arrived they saw a figure in the opening to the village. Upon confronting the figure, they realized he was simply a historian of sorts and was simply looking around the town. A high elf named Persivis, he warned them of encroaching on the center of the village as lots of magical energy was emanating from there. They thanked the man, and then proceeded onwards. The group then investigated around. Soon stumbling across what appeared to be a fracture in the air in front of them. This fracture pulsing with magic. Soren proceeded to touch the fracture, and upon doing soon appeared to be absorbed within. After some heavy decisions the rest of the party followed suite.
On the other side lied a odd alternate version of the town. With pieces of it floating in a large limitless void. As they explored they felt a presence beginning to stir. Quickly after two humanoid aberrations covered in tentacles appeared and attacked the party. A fierce battle ensued. The creatures latching onto them and draining their life force. But after some cunning and skill the aberrations were defeated. Afterwards the presence began to stir once again. Slowly growing in activity. The party opted to run back through the fracture, but some thought to stay. The group decided to wait for this presence to reach them. The entity did just that.
As the presence grew stronger and more and more overbearing the party stayed. Eventually, seeing the form a pink skinned humanoid. With long black spiked hair and crescent opal eyes. The form of a Daelkyr before them. Soren and him exchanged many words. Soren seeking answers for why the Daelkyr did not simply kill him all those years ago. The Daelkyr explained how he sensed her presence within him. He wanted to kill him, but her energy prevented him from doing so. Soren then offered to join with the Daelkyr, offering up part of his soul in exchange for his power. The Daelkyr accepted his proposal. The group then left through the Fracture, leaving the Daelkyr's realm...
