After having been captured in the High Point Palace prisons, the party was questioned for there individual roles in the attack on the Mystical Sea Inn. At the end of this Drelken informed them that the following day they would face judgement, and depending on that results of this they would be set free. However, after some persuading it was clear this wasn't going to be a normal judgement. Rather, the party was going to be judged by the White Scale. With this in mind the party rested the night.
The following morning after an alright breakfast and a few more questionings, the party was brought high up in the palace into a beautiful hall decorated in Elezian banners. At the end of the hall lied a empty throne. In the ambience of the room the figure of the White Scale appeared walking in from a side room. He spoke about the craving for power by all individuals. He spoke of a particular group that had been quite a pain in his side. As he spoke it became clear he knew who the party was. At the end of his speech has asked why he shouldn't simply end the parties quest for power? The group grew defensive not giving a clear cut reason. In this conversation the White Scale gave the party an offer. He wished for them to work for him in exchange for wealth, power, and information. Hesitant at first, eventually the party accepted his offer, signing a magically sealing contract. He wished for them to retrieve an item near the southern border in the own of Dregsway. In exchange, 4200gp and possible information that they each desired.
Afterwards the party left the Palace and was set free. Now with a few objectives in mind they headed for one last nights rest within the city...
