After treading through the Jelkelen forest and defeating a powerful Ettin, the group turned their attention towards Valen. Already weakened, the group attempted to end his life. As he ran one last chaos bolt sank into his back. The group then looted his belongings and left him to bleed out.
The party then left the forest and rested the night. The following morning they headed north to regroup with Thunder and the wagon. Upon setting off southward, the group summoned Gregor.
