S.37-38. Report

General Summary

The party took the [Assembly Subskippers given to them by the crew of the Mourning Star and set out to enter the hurricane. When they reached the Assembly citadel in South, the party swam to the submerged entrance. Inside they found a curator named Sahl, who directed them to the floors of the citadel not yet flooded. 
In the library, they discovered books on the history of South, an account of the The Rune Wars, and a field guide related to giants who inhabited the The Spine, and their rune carving magic which was used to help create the warforged.
In the garden's they discovered an Eladrin who has surrendered his body to the plants he cared for before the flood. This being called Orchius, showed the party visions of the truth of the world.
The The Assembly of Arcane Advisement once created a being of immense magical power to turn the tides of the Rune Wars. This being known as Krastrid, the Deep became sentient and destroyed its creators before challenging the gods for their regency over the world. In an effort to stop this being before it became too powerful, the gods resigned to the destruction of the world. They coalesced a mass of divine energy and smote Krastrid, tearing a hole in the material plane to the elemental plane of water and thus flooding the world, killing millions of mortals and therefore themselves. Krastrid, however, survived as his consciousness was shattered into a thousand pieces. Ever since, Krastrid has been slowly repairing himself and plans to flood the world again and rule over its drowned remains.
The party then made their way to the observatory where they discovered a weather machine that seemed to be the source of the hurricane, along with the skeleton of a giant. The party discovered the giant was using the magical wellspring to maintain his consciousness within the hurricane. Using his channel divinity, Malark Tallstag restored the giant's body using his mushrooms, and convinced the giant to transfer his consciousness to the mushroom giant so he could live forever. In return, the giant granted the party boons to aid them in their quest.   In game date: 3rd Midyear 446IIE
