Session 3: The Festivities Of Opening The House Report

General Summary

We open the game with Andrei Juarez (Beth's Character) getting up to prepare for the Greet The Sun ritual to open the day for the House festivities. They do the Nala Run through the forests around the House and return for breakfast invigorated with the essence of Gaia and the Wyld. They eat breakfast and talk about the feats of strength and Marena tells Trace that she's looking forward to fighting him after the lunch banquet. They joke back and forth.   The feat of strength is won by a kinfolk named Jack who is the House handyman and is there with his wife and two children (12 and 14).   The sparring combat was won by Trace who took down Marena and then Ana in the ring. Marena was doing well until Trace caught her in the temple with an elbow. Ana tried to avenge her sister but was dispatched by Trace fairly quickly.   Marena was first called out to the ring through the lottery by Andrei and the fight was good. Andrei kept getting hit but it seemed like Marena's fists would just slide off of him. Andrei kept grappling with her at first and frustrating her because she kept having to peel him off of her. She finally got annoyed and went after him before finally knocking him out.   After the fighting they had dinner and drank some more. Trace sat with Andrei for a while and they talked about the history that Trace has with House Juarez. Andrei and Marena took Trace up to his room and walked the house one last time. Marena reluctantly told Andrei about Berenisa "Bear" Thanasi and that she made friends with her and how Bear had saved her life. She told Andrei about her trips to Atlanta to see Bear at the Domingo House there. She also told Andrei about the spirit that Bear has an agreement with for a fetish and how it asked for him by name.
