Stuck in the hold Report

General Summary

1490 DR - Winter - 22, Ches (3) - Maztica, New Waterdeep  

• The crew is still under the War Wizards field and held at bay, but their captors are growing increasingly worried, angry, and fatigued by their antics.  They know that they are intended for Archon to be interrogated and likely tried, and the wizards let slip that Archon has been scrying on them this entire time, and knows much of their deeds.
• Only artifacts such as Oudmans pot and Lucyans pick function within the field, and they hatch a plan accordingly to distract them with smoke in the area (which causes them to hold their breath) whil Lucyan places a wall of fungus between them.  They discover that Lucyans artifact needs flesh to be charged, and Oudman donates some from his shoulder, painfully.
• After the wall is up, they charge the wand use, but are distracted by the imposing combat skills of the Wizards and the fight devolves quickly into a desperate brawl for survival.  
• The anti-magic field is taken down as the crew is near death, and magic havoc ensues.  The ship is badly damaged by fire and ice in the combat, and begins leaking.
• The fight is won only by a hair, and the wizards are dispatched.  The captain, Ender, is infuriated by the wizards damage to his ship (it was their fault technically), and offers a desperate deal to the Chosen: If they cover expenses, and repair his ship, he will bring them to Faerun proper.  
• The party agrees and a contract is written up with the mercenaries.  They set sail away from Maztica.
