Who is Cross-Eyed Jack PArt II Report

General Summary

The party made their way to the small unnamed isle that Chipper said he hid the treasure on, and the players took the rowboats ashore but ran into trouble right away as Giant Crab attacked them before they even got ashore. They managed to get the boats on the beach and face off with the creatures enjoying a nice crab dinner after the battle.

  They then ran into a strange site. A hawk that seem to be trying to get their attention. Willie was able to communicate with it and found that it was the companion of a hunter named Salzidar who had been captured by a group of women and was going to be sacrificed.
The players investigated and found two women, survivors of a shipwreck holding the hunter captive, while the rest of the surviving crew were working on creating a sacrificial alter near the remnants of their ship.
It turned out the women were under the influence of Ryba a minor power that believes in the superior power of females. The women in the crew of the wrecked ship fell under the spell of one of her shrines on the island and killed all the surviving men. They then want to repair their ship so they can take the shrine with them to civilization.
The party freed Salzidar and he told them he had to destroy the shrine to break the spell. They agreed to help him.
  They found the Shrine in a cave protected by creatures that were half men, half crab but were able to defeat them. Some of the party took injuries but nothing that didn't heal up well. With the destruction of the shrine the crew members left on the island were freed from their spell. To say they were distraught was an understatement, as many of them had done terrible things under the influence of Ryba. The party offered to take them back to freeport.
  Salizidar then helped then find Chipper's treasure chest, which happened to be the site of freshly laid eggs of a giant snapping turtle. David used his magic to summon an earth elemental to retrieve the chest without harming the turtle, and they, with their treasure secure, headed back to Freeport and Chipper.
  They had bad news for him though, as the chest was empty with nothing but a note from is ex-wife saying she had taken his treasure. He vowed revenge and with the PC navigated the treacherous tunnels of the tombs. The party found a few dangers, including some hungry otyughs, and a flesh Golem that guarded the way out, but they were able to free chipper.

  Chipper than told them what they wanted to know. They now had the information they needed to Gather The Dragon Rings

The party was given the cargo of the ship that has wrecked on the beach of the small island as payment for rescuing the crew. Chipper provided the party with information on what happened to the Dragon Rings Captain Jack had.

Salzidar, a Kazar Ranger from an island also called Kazar. He has been hunting shines of Ryba as his whole village suffered from her infuence, and now they live segregated, men in one village and women in the other due to the threat the Witch Queen presents. His Hark, Kyirk seems to be intelligent, much more than a normal animal.
