Rescue of Cantatus II Report

General Summary

After finding the Forfa Plant, the party needed to more ingredients, to put together the cure for the Lizardfolk King.  The first was Sequena root, a thick bulbous root that grows in area where there is a lot of sulfur.  On the island, that means at the base of the Volcano.  The party traveled there to find that it has all been harvested.  The tracks show a barefoot humanoid woman.  They followed them into the swamp, but ended up losing them in the marsh.  David fell into some quicksand, but was easily pulled out by the rest of the party.  While trying to find their way back the encountered a troll and a rather hungry one at that.  David used his magic to make the troll friendly.  So friendly, it was willing to give up the clothes it was wearing.  The party took that moment to attack the Troll before it broke the spell, and easily defeated the naked creature.  Dylan however suffered some minor trauma during the battle.  
They Finally picked up the trail of the barefoot plant harvester,, and followed it to an old cabin.  There they found a Young attractive woman, who had been a lone since her parent dies a few years ago.  She was willing to give them some of the root, if one of them would agree to spend some adult time with her.  She took a liking to Carados, and 30 mins later, carados returned with the root.  He also returned with a story that the woman was a hag who was looking to birth a changeling.  The party ran back into the cabin to slay her, but she was gone, with no sign to follow.  
Though they didn't like leaving her knowing what hags do with their changelings, they didn't have much choice if they wanted to save Cantatus.  They moved on to the Moon Cat tail.  These plants were a lot like regular cat tail, only they were luminescent.  They found them in a large clearing in the swamp, where a Hydra made its lair.  They managed to use magical invisibility and illusion to sneak in and get the moon cat tails they needed and left without angering the hydra.  
When they made it back to the village, the place was in chaos.  Qual-gullet, angry for being dishonored and denied his choice of a mate, grabbed cantatus, and took him to the volcano with some loyal followers.  He thought he could use the power of the sacrifice to transform himself into a chief.  The party followed and found him. ready to drop the Captain into the volcano.  Quick thinking by Finn, stopped them from getting to the cage that he'd Cantatus, and with him safe the party was able to defeat Quon-Gullet.  
The found on him a magical figurine, of a black cat.  Carados took it and saw it had a name on it.  Kithiss.  The party made it back to the village and put together the cure for the King, who was showing sigs of getting better only a few hours later.  They took Cantatus (Who have been grievously wounded by Corsair, his right arm having been cut off) and headed back to Histon, and their new ship.
