Session 11: Gardening at the ruins Report

General Summary

The party left the Hag and headed down to cross the Ya Ath Cor'Quessir Salanath (the bridge across the Boreal Omen river). Along the 10 mile span of the bridge, they found one of the towers near the southern end taken by a mercenary band of Hobgoblins. When the party was asked to pay a toll to finish crossing the bridge, Zanthros paid them in a fireball. The party wiped out the mercenary troop then moved on the next day.   The party finished crossing the bridge then headed east to the ruins.They passed through an entrance of the old city, made some minor reconnaissance to find the grove and finished the trip to it.   Just outside a grove of dead Quarlani Sol trees, the party opened the portal to the Feywild to find a chaotic maelstrom of magical wind, touched by a constant hue of red, on the other side of the portal. Approaching the grove, they found a pair of redcaps creatures and an Ancient blight (a dead Quarlani Sol tree subverted by the Fey) that attacked them. During the battle, 4 Will o' Wisps appeared out of the dead trees and joined the fray.   The redcaps were incinerated by Zanthros's fireballs and Pooka finished off the Ancient Blighted tree by attempting to remove one of it's branches and instead severed the tree through the middle and turned it to shards of dead wood.   Atreena planted the seed and watered it. And the rest of the party gathered some portions of the dead red caps and made their way back through the portal before it could close. Once back on the other side in the material plane, they found the dead tree in the center of the grove to be replaced by an already grown young sapling with about 5-7 feet of solid grass growing around it and their cart covered in vines.   Heading out from the city, the following day Brother Les sent a message to Sparkle of Light (Atreena's mother) to let her know how it went. They were startled to find out that they had been actually gone from the material plane for roughly 2 months!   Now, the party has to decide what to do next. Do they head back to the Nightback Clan? Or do they move on to Shadycreek Run and the next adventure that greets them?

Rewards Granted

Planted the Quarlani Sol seed. May have started the recovery of the Savalirwood.
