Session 13: The Desert Session report
General Summary
Following the party's experience with Odin at Raven's Roost, they approach a way station along the desert road to Reno. They encountered a nervous barkeep at the ransacked way station, telling the party (after fainting seeing the visage of The Urayuli) that the way station had been sacked by a group of sasquatches--one of them bearing a face scar and an eye patch. Hearing that his uncle was close by, the party set out northwards...on course to both Reno, and the camp of The Urayuli's uncle. About nightfall, the party spotted the camp of the raiders, about 350 yards off of the road. The Urayuli and Pitahaya both made their way to the camp, with Pita using her Dust of Disappearance to hide herself and The Urayuli challenging his uncle to a fight to distract the others. While The Urayuli and his uncle fought, Pita made her way around the uncle and was able to mortally wound him. While deciding what to do with the Uncle, The Urayuli saw the vision of the demon from his dreams: offering him a weapon, a great axe, in order to finish off his uncle and claim new power. The Urayuli shakes his head, in apparent refusal. The uncle dies and the remaining sasquatches are sent on their way. After searching the camp, Abernathy and Pita notice a glowing object in the pile of loot: a crown. Abernathy's book is also glowing; on the page that lists all of the titles of the demons, the name of "Pride" is glowing. The party summons Odin's two ravens, and they take the crown. The page stops glowing. The party settles in for the night, however, no one notices The Urayuli up...cradling his new, ill-gotten great axe.
