Session 59: New friends!!!!

General Summary

So, I guess it’s time for me to update this journal again…
Oh! Today we made a new friend! Well… I think he’s not really trusting us yet, but we got him out of a really bad situation!
We headed onwards in the Master’s Domain, accompanied by the friendly beholder. As we did, however, there were lots of mages and cultists around! And one of them was dragging someone to this pillar in the middle. This of course didn’t bode very well, so we stepped in to help the poor fellow. The fight wasn’t too bad, especially with Duldar and Valstrax on the front lines again, and Voron and I casting our spells from behind.   Once the fight was over, we helped the bound man. He told us his name is Aaldryn—well, he told the rest of the party. He didn’t seem to like me much, and he kept calling me Pencheska. And then I remembered: that was the lady we’d saved earlier! After a bit of convincing, and giving the poor halfelf some rations, he told us he had been held captive here for a few months! Can you imagine, that must have been horrible! And apparently, his torturer had been this Pencheska, who he said is a succubus. Oh no—she’s with the caravan now! After a quick check of the surroundings (Libraries! Yay!) we headed back to the surface, afraid that this poor guy couldn’t take another fight. So we settled in for a long rest, and I contacted Sebastienne. She acted a bit weird about why the caravan was so late, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Oh gods, I hope they’re all okay…
But that's a worry for later. For now: a dungeon to clear and a friend to make!
