Session 54: An annoying troll and dangerous trees

General Summary

Out of the tall grass, we find a contact stone and a black gate and we take a short rest to attune our glyph keys again. However, as we want to leave for a good long rest, some more of those annoying lich servants come out of the gate and want us to come with them. I shove them to the side with a thunderwave and we kill them. After collecting some more of those apprentice spellbooks and other stuff, we are finally ready to go through that black gate and take a long rest outside.   The next morning we decide, once again, that we don't want to go to the Ooze grottos, as oozes are usually annoyingly bad for armor, and go on to the Far Realm Cysts via the Forest of Weakness instead. However, this requires us to get past that troll we left alive and we have currently little meat to spare, so we first go to the room where we killed those lich servants yesterday. Sadly, the bodies are already gone, and we have to get past the troll without anything to offer her. So, we go through the black she claims as hers and as we don't have any meat to spare, she demands carnal pleasures from me, as we are both some kind of giant. I scratch her a bit and manage to run away with the rest of the group laughing as we go through the white gate into the area called the Forest of Weakness. Typically a troll, she is almost asking to get killed...   In the next area, the trees are magical again and apparently crying for help. The Tiefling carefully investigates, but as she comes too close, she is paralyzed and a large monster jumps on her! We will have to stay away from those trees, the Rat won't like that he cannot use them for cover! The Rat pulls the Tiefling away from the tree allowing her to recover and we kill this monster and the monsters that appear from the other trees. Afterwards we notice that the Dwarf was paralyzed by the tree almost the whole fight. Carefully we move on, avoiding the trees...
