A Wedding at RoseHollow Report
General Summary
Session Update
The party dragged their bounty through the streets and back up to the Grey Roses Watch in Primrose District. Much to the chagrin of the constabulary they were able to bring the bounty in with limited fuss, even managing to keep the manacles as they handed Indigo over. With the bounty in hand, the party, low on goods decided to check out the open air market in the Damask District.
A large open air market took up the extra wide promenade, bustling with people collecting goods, trading others, and heading toward the castle above the city. Goods were purchased, Shadow attempted to put on a performance from Alistar's shoulder, and managed to gain a few gold and silver for the trouble. Nedyra found a shiny trinket in one of the shops and with nimble fingers purloined the item, with only Shadow catching on.
Now with no other distractions, the party continued onto the wedding. Still in their adventure gear and with several days travel on them, the three travelled next to folks wearing their best. As they travelled higher and higher through the nobler houses of the city they took in the beauty of the city and the castle, built from the glittering stone of the hillside. As they joined the party goers, the party found themselves ushered into one grouping, and with a keen eye, Nedyra noticed many of the Fae-touched in attendance around her.
Although given several side glances, their attire and general appearance fit in with many of the Fae touched, if not those from the nobility. There was music and feasting and drinks, a familiar waiter, and the general interesting bits of a party. While the beginning festivities were happening, and they hob-nobbed with the nobility of the RoseHollow, Nedrya pointed out that many of the Fae nobility were missing. As they were looking around at all gathered, a strange woman beckoned to them from across the party.
Alistar, the least conspicuous of the trio, headed over to the strange woman and received a letter with a cryptic message before they fled back into the castle. Finding a secluded spot they read the letter, to discover that Ember RoseFire is being forced to marry the Lord Merius who was keeping Ember's lover prisoner under the castle. Ember herself had a way to escape she needed the help of someone named Adorella to help get their lover out of the dungeon and soon.
The party attempted to sneak through the kitchen only to be stopped by a few of the waitstaff. They did manage to receive their drinks but needed to pick another way to sneak out of the courtyard and into the castle.
Luckily their way wasn't blocked too severely and they managed sneak across the hall and down into the dungeons. They entered down the stairs, found a room blocked by a steel door, and one by a stone door. Touching the stone door revealed the other side of the room, only for them be surprised by four guards. The fight was pitched and Shadow nearly lost his kitty life to a well placed spear. With a bit of luck on their sides they managed to dispatch three of them, tie up the forth and knock him out for good measure.
The group travelled through the dungeon, opened the steel door, discovered a healing tree and managed build themselves up before continuing forward. The last room they discovered contained a lion standing on a ball. The party discovered with some ingenuity that the ball was in fact a crystal ball with a vision of a mural somewhere deeper in the dungeon.
To be continued.
