Session 04: Looking around Liera Report

General Summary

• Cerric and Zazall venture to the Sandguard HQ on the outskirts of Liera to address the Wanted posters of Zazall around town
• Zazall poses as a concerned gala attendee and gives somewhat false information on the wanted goblin he has named "Zachary"
• Cerric places the cipher onto a detective's desk, unnoticed. (When decoded the cipher reads "Alda, Full Moon. Giant Fire Beetles. Be Safe. Varren")
• Upon leaving the HQ they spot the Commander of the Sandguard, Rizana Tallhallow, a halfling with a mechanical suit
• The party visits the Starry Sky Observatory to learn more about the observatory they read in the notes from the Obsidian Order to Alda Arkin.
• Cerric meets Lady Kree, the chief caretaker of the observatory, and she informs them of the abandoned observatory a few minutes outside of the city to the west, which burned down 50 years ago and has not been used since. She also gives him the name of a fellow astronomer and Eliestree in Covington- Kydeia Basona, a centaur. 
• The party heads to the abandoned observatory and investigates
• Cerric finds a vile of dust.
• They notice plenty of footprints, new and old, but nothing else of note.
• Upon leaving, two figures in cloaks pass them and head into the abandoned observatory. After further investigation, they are doing nothing illegal, although quite explicit. 
• The party arrives back in town and settles down for the evening inside the The Sandstorm's Refuge where they enjoy some spiced rum, good food, and belly dancers.
