Vanora shows what it means to be an effective interviewer according to the Unseelie Court, especially along the lines of coercing information out of those who don't wish to relay certain information. She was incredibly persuasive with the mage? Fine, if you still don't get it she tortured the red mage. She convinced Morcant to help by pointing out to him that psychological torture doesn't do any bodily harm and gets the same amount of information, so it's basically cruelty free. The two of them learn that the Red Mages intend to win the contest so they can gain access to the vault, within the vault there is an inter-planer key that the Red Mages are after.

At the same time Euric, Eva, and Drustan use Raether as their eyes in the sky to hunt down the knight who fled the scene of combat with no warning. The first false positive was just a knight with no amount of self awareness to himself, the second lead turned out to be a hit man who was waiting for a clear shot on their target. The knight who ran away during the fight outed themselves when they sensed Raether approaching and started running. Thanks to Raether's guidance the party eventually corners the Knight and they prepare to fight before learning the knight didn't want to be in this conflict, or any conflict.

Upon returning to the tower with the knight, Euric, Eva, and Drustan are greeted to the sounds of Vanora's journalism skills. Eva joins in with the questioning, where she learns that this red mage's cousin was the one who captured the Knight, and that he was kept in a frozen state for 5-10 years before the mages decided to use him for the tournament. Deciding this was the best opportunity to learn more about the Red Mages Eva revealed a red mage wizard staff and asked the captured mage if he knew anything about it. When he tried to reach for it she blasted his hands with a jet of flames, as the flames died down Eva's eyes hardened and, with none of her usual cheeriness, she returned to her room.

After the fighting the group did in the Bazaar everyone took a few to rest, with a few key thoughts on everyone's mind. Who is the frozen knight, and what happened to Eva?
