Session 15: What's Good for the Goose Report

General Summary

Arriving at the town of Splitferry, the party enters to find that the populace is worried about something that no one seems willing to talk about to outsiders. However the party does find a notice about monster hunters being needed with instructions to inquire at the mayor's office. Once there, the mayor explains that the town is dependent on the giant goose-related products that the nearby Goosedown Island produces but a goose has become mutated and violent, preventing access to the flock. There is a reward for slaying the mutant goose, which the party happily agrees to. After gathering some intelligence about the monster, the party contracts with the only ship willing to bring them close to the flock, captained by a man named Reynolds. On the way to the island, Captain Reynolds is distracted by a coral drake that he has apparently been trying to slay for years. Everyone participates in the fight but the drake slips away once again. Once they reach the island, the party is able to get past the flock without resorting to violence and are able to reach the mutant goose, which has become some sort of goose hydra. After a vicious battle, the heroes are victorious and the goose hydra is slain.
