Session 19 Report: A Bloody Night

General Summary

The guards thoroughly inspected all places in the tavern, except for the hatch under the rug which the party successfully dissuaded them from realizing was even there. After finding no evidence to any of the claims made by the commoners, Captain Staget delivered court summons papers to everyone due in a week's time at Lawbearer Ordin's office. After the guards left and a purposeful amount of two guards were set to watch by the front of the building, the party went to sleep. Only an hour or so after, "Quin" snuck into the basement which the party had been so gracious as to show him earlier, and set the prisoner that they had been set to keep there free. Without much help from the exhausted and dehydrated prisoner, "Quin" had to navigate escaping with the prisoner. A perceptive and lightly sleeping Uradak was awoken by movement downstairs and caught the prisoner being dragged along by a drunk man he did not recognize. A short fight ensued before the guards were called by the drunk man and the prisoner was dragged inside. Momentarily, the prisoner whose mouth was unbound took his opportunity to charm both Ali and Poncholi into helping him escape. Outside the door at last, the prisoner decided to leave no loose ends and sliced Poncholi across the throat, downing him. Barely clinging to consciousness, Poncholi commanded Sebastian to attack the prisoner, which in turn downed him. We ended with Ali virtuously guarding the bag door against intruders, Uradak and the drunkard being taken away by the two guards assigned to watch them, Poncholi bleeding and choking in the doorway, and no one the wiser as to where Quin might be.
