Session 16: The village of Tegile II Report

General Summary

Its the 24th of Thor's day the companions with the exception of Dagon and Dagwyn wake up in the early afternoon. The rain that has started in the early morning hours has now turned into a heavy rain that can be heard on the roofs. The tempature is moderate with no wind but the rain has kind of soured the mood of the citizens of Clazos. The squires of Raz' Thrak and Dimmir have told the party that the gear and wagon is ready to go but recommend staying a day due to the heavy rain that might cause problems on the road knows as the Ancient trade route road. Dimmir sleeps in a tree near the center of the village that also has a statue of Apollo and Poseidon. The village itself only has a general store, a potion shop, a house of healing and the Inn it self called the Cracked Barrell. Jasmal goes out into the rain to check out the potion shop and house of healing. What is surprising is what is available at the potion shop and the house of healing. As Jasmal does getting to know the village routine she is able to pick up a Scroll of Greater Restoration for 10 Sheckels. Considering that magic items require Dragon Orbs to buy this was very nice jester by the young cleric that ran the shop. At the potion shop she was able to pick up a three nice healing potions. Dimmir, Marik, Karrin, and Raz' Thrak decided to try the fruit punch known as Mojo. a big bowl of the reddish purple punch was set in the center of the table and the tree began to drink glasses of the extremely good punch that was very tasty and went down smooth with no known effects until it was time to stand up and try to walk where the effects of the famous drink took effect. Karrin Raz' Thrak passed out as soon as they stood up. Karrin passed out onto the table knocking the bowl and the rest of the drink onto the floor. Raz' Thrak collapsed back into his chair. Dimmir and Marik has issue standing up and falling down. Dimmer prone on the floor with his horns stuck in the floor swore he was on the rook and made several attempts to get of the roof only to land on the roof again. Arceven set back watching the four make fools of themselves making sure that no thief took advantage of the situation once the effect of the potent alcohol took effect. As Jasmal returned to the inn a beautiful young bard maybe in her early 20's began to sing a ballad that only Arceven could understand cause it was sang in the ancient language that he and Karrin know. Karrin was passed out and did not hear the song. Arceven seemed to be concerned about the song. As this song was being sang the two weapons possessed by Dimmir and Raz' Thrak glowed and floated as the song was sang. Dimmir and Marik to drunk to pay attention did not notice this happening. Dimmir feeling a sense of joy and pride from Saphira was to drunk to understand what was going on. Those in the inn saw this event happen as well were stunned and not sure what todo. They assisted in carring Raz' Thrak to the barn and Dimmir to the tree. Mean while in the town of Odessus Dagon arrived in the early evening. He looked for a street urchin to take him to the hacienda of Annia Alethia. Due the late hour of the day the young boy did not want to take Dagon to the hacienda fearful of what came out at night. Dagon began asking questions of the young teen what he has seen. The boy told him he had not seen anything, but had heard of stories from the villagers. The boy talked of owl bears, and scaly creatures that roamed at night some even has wings. Dagon began to push a little more asking of bipedal creatures that looked like a walking wolf. The young teen went slient at first then said that there were rumors of these creature for years but no one has seen anything. Most of the villager figured it was drunk farmers who had ran into owlbears. The latest rumor was a man that was killed a ten-day ago by supposedly a walking wolf. Dagon asked the kid to take him to the grave yard that was three leagues away. By the time they reached the grave yard it was pitch black with only the torches for light. Dagon could tell the grave marker was recently buried but could find no other evidence of anything out of the ordinary. The one thing he did notice was this area was different from the rest of the grave yard that he could see. He wasn't sure what it was but something was different about this section of the grave yard. Paying the boy to get a message to the hacienda and returned to town as the rain began to fall reaching town in time before the heavy rain fall checking into the Half-Full cup inn ran by a minotaur. He got some goat stew and fresh bread and began eating and asking more questions to the inn keeper a female Minotaur by the name of Mouzin Thickfist. Mouzin for the most part evaded his questions and not telling him the answers he wanted and he picked up that she was hiding something. In the morning he was awoken by Mouzin to be told that he had a visitor. Thinking that it was his driver to take him back to Soteropolis he was surprised to see Annia and a older women who looked very similar to Annia. Dagon sat and has breakfast with Annia and her mother Baroness Clodia Alethia. Once again Dagon began asking questions about the bipedal walking wolves and the Alethia interest in his companion Jasmal. The Baroness remained discrete to the questions being asked as she knew full well the companions of Franchise K has witnessed the transformation of Jasmal into this wolf like creature that had never been seen before. She explained the there race was created by the pantheon of Poseidon to fight a very deadly creature that was created by the Egyptian Gods hence this led to the fall of Atlantis. This unknow creature that she talked about has not been seen in centruries, but that does not mean that it was still not around. Clodia would not reveal who this creature was to Dagon. She went on to explain that her family was one of twelve clans who's sole purpose was to protect the land of Azure from this creature. She also explained that they were pure bloods and has a very strict code and by laws set fourth by Poseidon and any pure blood who did not follow this would be excommunicated from the clan that they were associated with and would be marked for death. Those that don't follow the bylaw are known as rogues. The creature they encountered near the village of Nysine in the Muttonwood forest was worse than a rogue. It was bitten by a rogue and they can not control the beast within them and become viscous killers no matter who it is friend or foe. These creature must be stopped at all cost. Jasmal who did not know of her pure blood reacted on natural Instincts knowing that this creature must be stopped before he could create more victims. The secret of the 12 families must be kept at all cost not even the King of the land knows of there race. Most people would not understand and hunt them down and try to kill them as beast. Not knowing that there is something far worse than what she calls as a werewolf. Any one who leeks this information will meet an untimely death. Dagon tells Annia of her employment oppertunity with Acq Inc and this pleases the Baroness. Then Dagon heads back to Soteropolis in the rain drenched day only to be teleported by a old man in robes and a pointy hat who seem to have platinum eyes to the village of Clazos where he sees the squire of Dimmir dutifully standing guard by a tree where a passed out Dimmir sleeps. Dagon grabs Dimmir and tells the squire that he will take care of Dimmir and would not say a word to him about standing guard. Taking Dimmir to a room for the night. In Soteropolis Dagwyn when to the barricks of Company C to work on freeing the crew of the Grand Rose after Raz' Thrak had promised them they would not suffer the consquences of a priates life. Captain Chin told the Baroness it would take a couple of hours to set up. Then she went back to guild hall talk to Mr. French went to market place buying some fruit and salmon and mingling with what people were at the market considering the rain. Then she went back to the guild hall where a carriage awaited her taking her to Barricks of Company C where the city council was met as she presented her case before the city council about the release of the pirate prisoners. The King was present as well. Dagwyn presented her case reminding everyone of Raz' Thraks deeds and his new position as Field Marshal and the promise he made to the crew of the Grand Rose. Several council members grilled Dagwyn with questions about upholding the law and that pirates were to excuted for there cirmes againts the crown. One in particular, Barron Agrippa Silius Pilatus gave Dagwyn the hardest time. Dagwyn kept on putting him in his place and convnced the city council to let the crew ago, but under the falling conditions. They were to be endurchered servants for the rest of the live to Acq Inc. The city council then voted with a 7 to 3 favor to let the men become endurchered ed servants of Acq Inc.
