Session 38: Lord Harker leaves his Mark. Report

General Summary

Frevr Day, 17th of Cupid, 500 CD The members of Shining Eclipse after spending three days at the hacienda of Clodia Alethia paying honor to the family after her husband Lar Lartius Althia was viscously murdered. The companions also allowing three of its members to recover from the traumatic effect they had with the siting of the Black Dragon known as Shurikan. As well as soaking in the most recent news of the attack on the King coronation. The two newest members most likely used the time to adjust to joining this party that is part of the Acq Inc Franchise K Tag. Conan and Zayrdi are the only two survivers of another adventure group that was a part of the Franchise Tag. There companions were viciously murdered by the Drow who were a part of a unknown guild called the Venom Blades. While eating breakfast a royal page from Soteropolis arrived with a message commander of the Order of the Phoenix. Unfortuanlly Dimmir had left on the 16th of Cupid and no one knows where he went. The page gave the message to Marik who reads and informs Dagwyn that the Order has been summoned by the Duke of Soteropolis at their earliest convenience. The party would have to go to Odessuss to pick up Jasmal as she was at the temple to see what the acolytes and priest for the village knew about the mysterious grave robbing's. Dagon visited the local grave yard to see investigate and found that the grave yard was not disturbed. The party departed Odessuss around the 09th hour heading west to Soteropolis. Around the 13th hour the party came upon a common resting site that is used by the trade caravans and people traveling between Odessuss and Soteropolis. The day was cool and the party noticed that there was no smoke from campfires. Dagwyn and Conan using there ranger skill scouted out the rest area to find 23 dead bodies around the camp. There were seven gypsy wagons that had been damaged by what looked to be some kind of cold damage. Further investigation revealed a large creature with claws was also at the sight. Karrin summoned his dragonnelle to compare the foot prints and realized that this creatures foot prints were bigger the his Dragonelle. The companions also discovered that all the tieflings has all of their eyes removed. They also had all there equipment and belongings stripped from them as well. The regular travelers who were staying at the camp did not have their stuff stripped. As the companions continued to search the camp and wagons they found evidence of the Draconians that they have had to deal with. While searching the wagons for answers on the 5th wagon they found a wanted poster for the Blight family. The poster basically stated the Blight family was not honoring the traditions of the gypsy. That they had murdered and betrayed the clans. This upset Marik and got into with Dagwyn as accusations out of frustration of the situation started to heat up a little until Conan intervened and split the two up. Karrin did a recon check of the area in the air with Silver. in the 1st wagon the party found three survivors a human women, a male halfling, and a male tiefling. Jasmal did medical checks on the survivors healing those that need to be healed. The Tiefling was on the verge of death based on the wounds he had received. Talking to the survivors the party learned that they were attacked in the middle of the night by a female riding a large creature that they had never seen before. She seemed intent on wiping out the tieflings claiming that they were an abomination to YonZora and need to be wiped out. The creature that she rode seemed to have two breath weapons one that paralyzed its victims and then it had another breath weapon that emitted a very cold breath weapon freezing and destroying the wagons. The two survivors that could talk also talked about walking dead people eating the brains of the victims. Once Karrin came back from his recon and he was told he confirm that it was a silver dragon.   The party bring the three survivors arrived in Soteropolis around the 18th hour. Once the party was identified two platoons of Knights were dispatched to escort Dagwyn and Arceven to their respected homes. Arceven had no problem with the escort, but Dagwyn argued and fought saying she did not need an escort. Soteropolis was quiet the inns at the east of town were filled to max capacity. Patrols have been doubled with a mix of Crimson Guards and Crimson Dragons. The Order of the Red Dragon had the Nobel district lock down as well. Dagwyn went to her house in the noble district and tried to lose her escort at her home to no avail. She finally gave up and went to the guild hall. The rest of the party went to the guild hall they were charged for the new monthly fees. Zayrdi and Conan were given rooms on the fourth floor as requested. Sanbalet greeted the companions with a look of relief considering this adventure group has to nobles one being a royal. Sanbalet updated the party on things including that Captain Chin has been here for the past three days waiting looking for their return. The party settled in for the night after a long day. Rooms were given to the survivors until the party could talk to the proper channels on the attack.
