Session 12: The High Seas Report

General Summary

Two days out of Palma Flora, the Roger's Ruin came upon the wreckage of a pirate strike, but it would take another 6 days before they caught up to the culprit: the Sea Hag's Grin. In that time, the potted shrub that Happy had been cultivating since meeting you all Awakened and you named it Ni. Closing on the pirate ship a fierce struggle broke out as a storm took both ships, but with your ferocity and a bit of magic, you all managed capture the captain and first mate as the captain asked, as well as two other sailors, before leaving the ship a burning wreck amongst the waves. Interrogating the captain you learned some interesting things:

• The Gossamer Fleet makes birth at "The Cradle" in the Gravid Archipelago
• Having killed the Roc that previously commanded those islands
• They have custody of more ships than they have the manpower to sail
• They do not worship the Spider Queen
• They do worship Uk'atoa, the god protector of the native Ki'nau people
• This religion may have come from the island's sahuagin inhabitants
• Kaikoa (the Admiral) doesn't sail much lately, working instead on a some project inland with the sahuagin
• The jungle is booby trapped, but the only watch set is on the northern back of the island
• The pirates bombard any approaching ship they don't recognize, though there seems to be some method of "flying the colors" to signify a newly captured vessel
