Someday We'll Get There Report

General Summary

18th of Lowsun, 407 P.A.

Niven joins the party and they teleport to Reticence using the drum.   The party arrives in the middle of what looks to be an abandoned encampment in the middle of a jungle. Deciding this is clearly not where they want to be, they teleport again using the leather vest and arrive back in the same encampment.   The party sets off through the jungle toward the coastline. They pass some DandeLions without incident and arrive on the beach, following it westward.  

19th to 20th of Lowsun, 407 P.A. 

The party follows the coast line. Spending their evenings in the Magnificent Mansion.  

21st of Lowsun,407 P.A.

Tired of walking through the jungle coastline, the party teleports using the kenku arm. They arrive on the edge of a bone littered hole and a purple wyrm appears. The party quickly flees via teleportation back to the beach.   After some contemplation, they elect to return via teleportation circle (for peasants) to Tact.   They arrive in Tact and Tuisan pulls some strings to hire a ship to take them to Camman, which will depart in 3 days time.  

22nd to 23rd of Lowsun, 407 P.A.

The party goes about their business in Tact. Eccaia does a lot of baking, Niven spends his time at the Jungle House. Shina has the party (over) for dinner. Tuisan spends his time per usual, assisting Vigni in her running of the city.  

24th to 31st of Lowsun, 407 P.A.

The party travels via ship to Camman.   Once there, they learn that Guthor hasn't been seen there in a couple weeks, claiming he was sailing to the other isles to look for a woman called Loren.   Loren, leads everyone to one of her favorite nearby haunts and they spend the night in the mansion.  

32nd of Lowsun, 407 P.A.

The party awakens to find their door being watched by a shifter, who seemed to be curious but more or less harmless. They elect to return to the city and attempt to hire a ship to take them to the other island. They learn that no ships are sailing to the other isles because those that leave have not been returning.   The party harasses a poor old firbolg for information about the other isle and attempt to convince him to part with a doll, his last remaining physical reminder of his dead daughter. They eventually decide that the memory will be enough and attempt to teleport to the island.   The party arrives in the middle of the ocean. They manage to find a log, attach their magic mansion to it and spend the night adrift.  

1st of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

The party emerges from their log mansion to find they have drifted... somewhere. They spot land nearby and Niven fabricates the log to a bench and summons a water elemental to speed boat them to the shore.   The party heads into the jungle toward Modder.   

2nd to 3rd of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

The party travels through the jungle, encountering some puppeteering spiders and a shiny rock in a river.   Tuisan takes the rock and notices the unusual glimmering surface at the bottom of the river. He encourages Niven to come take a look and as Niven steps into the river, the bottom begins to crack until they are all pulled through the astral gate.  

4th to 9th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

The party finds themselves in a strange expanse of swirling colors, glimmering starlit gateways, and massive petrified corpses. They learn to use their thoughts to manipulate their way through the Astral Sea and move toward the nearest door.   Niven takes a chance and passes through the gate.   

10th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

Niven arrives on the snowy slopes of North Berg and sends to the rest of the party who follow him through. Once Tuisan recognizes where they are, they teleport to Tact.   Once in Tact, Tuisan learns from Vigni how many days have passed and requests from her some assistance should they fall into the plane again. Vigni says she will ask Shina.  

11th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

Before the party returns to Reticence, Shina requests a meeting with them. She agrees to give the party a scroll of plane shifting, as long as they agree to return pieces of a leviathan should they fight and survive an encounter with one.    The party teleports to the river.   They pass over the river without issue and continue on their way to Modder.  

12th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

The party finally arrives in Modder and ask around about Guthor. The tiefling has been to the city a couple weeks ago, telling tall tales of flying ships and "a sea within a sea". Thinking perhaps Guthor is just off being Guthor and there is nothing to worry about, the party returns to Camman to await his arrival.  

13th to 19th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

The party waits in Camman... and waits... and waits... The Gods' Watch arrives and there is still no sign of Guthor.  

20th of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

Done waiting, the party decides to delve into the Astral Sea once more to search for their friend. They return to the river and find nothing there.  Suspicious that these "vanishing ships" are somehow falling into the Astral Sea, Tuisan asks Vigni if she has some way to help transport them. She says she will look into it and get back to him soon.  

21st of Frostmelt, 407 P.A.

Vigni sends in the morning that she has found a way to help them, but he won't like it and Shina promptly arrives in Camman, much to the distress/awe of the residents.   Shina places the party (except Tuisan) in a box and they fly over the sea until they spot a whirlpool that ends in glittering stars. Shina dumps Niven through and when he confirms the portal does lead to the Astral Sea, the rest follow. Including Shina.
