Meeting with Coro
One by one, the party slowly made their way downstairs after returning to The Laughing Sprite from their encounter in the woods. Each member somberly joined the group for breakfast, except Magnus , who left to race and bond with his new horse. The party watched as interesting people filtered in and out of the tavern. One group of three individuals met up, with one carrying an interesting book on his hip. Neoon left to follow them, thinking the trinket and people might be an interesting lead to follow. Around that same time, Jakuul entered the tavern with a new friend, an air genasi named Coro that he was deeply involved in conversation with. As it so happens, sometimes people meet up in taverns to begin new adventures together. Neoon followed the young people for a moment before overhearing their conversation about what they should call their adventuring troupe. She deemed them young and inexperienced adventurers, looking to get their true start in The Steppes of Galeaha, and returned to the tavern. Aside from the absolute infatuation with Neeon, calling her "A First Child", one of the pure Genasi created in "the homeland", Coro and Jakuul filled the party in on their time together before they found Jakuul in the bandit camp. They had sailed down the Felonas strait and found the fog formation they called "The Barrier" had encroached much further out than expected from it's home in Gyte. They sailed through the thick fog slowly and were able to avoid any encounters. Jakuul thought something was very off and Coro agreed. Coro sailed back into the fog along the coast and Jakuul set off into the fog from land. They planned to meet back up in Wallsard after their reconnaissance to discuss their findings. Coro also had encounters with armored Elementals, saying at one point he had to call upon the assistance of his mother, an Air Genie that lived in Cyorion, to assist with the creatures. On the elemental, he found a strange mote of water, that gave him the ability to scry a location when he looked into it. There, he described a city of The Sauhagin that were arming elementals. Something looked back into the location he was scrying through, and the spell dissipated. The Fangs of Wolfbron
The party decided to split up and get some work done around town, researching potential leads, convinced that something within the Sahuagin city was driving these creatures and the fog wall. Randuraas Thombo, Anduro Taeri, Neoon, Coro, and Kico went shopping, while Magnus and Jakuul went to the docks to investigate the pit fighting arena that was being attended by Issica. Randuraas buried himself in books while Anduro browsed tomes on the occult. Neoon and Coro were able to investigate old maps and sailors documents to find information on an area known as The Fangs of Wolfbron. Two spires that stuck out of the ocean near the Marsh of Wolfbron. This area was unmarked on official maps, but sailors accounts told of an area known to elicit attacks by strange creatures. The spires themselves were dangerous, with jagged rocks hiding below the surface and a strange fog that emanated from the rocky spires. Most sailors avoided them entirely, but Neoon was convinced she found their objective. Magnus and Jakuul came to the docks in search of the Pit of Fools, a fighting ring that Spade had told the group about. Through sheer force of will and a capability for following one's nose to the scent of blood, tears, sweat, and weaker beings, Magnus led the way while Jakuul slipped in horse manure. They tracked the trail to a warehouse near the edge of the pier, and scared a man working near the back half to death as Magnus was identified as a potential fighter, but then demanded that the puny man let him in lest he break down the door. The man ran in terror, saying to seek the owner, Dreu Fulchard, a dockmaster. Having to stand on Magnus' shoulders, Jakuul managed to spot the elusive docks past all the boats blocking his view. Further, he managed to spot a gnome yelling at them with a clipboard. The man stormed up to the duo, insisting they get out of the way so the workers can continue to get their jobs done. Magnus taunted the gnome, and was taken aback at the impressive show of strength from the small creature as he grabbed his neck and bent the goliath down to his level. The Pit doesn't open until nightfall. Shut your damn mouth before you get us shut down and piss off every dock worker here. I'll see you then if you intend to fight.
