16.4.1.9 We withdraw to the Sylvan Hideaway Report
General Summary
With the whole camp alerted and heading towards us we wisely decide to withdraw back south to the hideaway.
Dredoc takes to the air vanishing upon his broom, Firato decides to take Pengo up into the air to fly away as well. Deamon using his magic transports the rest of us back to the sylvan hideaway. Along the way south Pingo in his mithril full barding is lit up like a lamp from the rockets and explosions in the air, the gyrocopter attached to him is making alot of noise. Thankfully Dredoc swoops in and casts a silence spell and his last invisibility sphere upon Pengo. The two of them get an upclose and personial view of frost drakes in flight hunting for them.. it looks as though have a dozen are scouring the are where Pengo was last seen at. Their icy breath covering the area as they hope to reveal anything invisible. Thankfully our brave heroes make it to the sylvan hideaway without alerting the drakes or guards to our base of operations.
Daemon asks Varr'os to witness his Communication with the goddess Sarenrae.
I observe the skywatch.
- The Burning Mother: This is the ball of fire in the sky during the day time. Upon the surface of rolling flames i swear i see dolphin like fire-elementals leaping and diving into the flames they appear to be consolidating towards the Sleeping Sea to discuse something of great important.
- Aballon the Horse: Appears to be covered with ruins that are mechanical in nature. There appear to be nine in total upon the surface. the largest of which according to the charts is called Epoch. It appears to be constructed upon a perfect grid with large boxy buildings, and huge circuit fields that somehow gather and use the light of the Burning Mother to create.. Energy If i can trust my eyes there are more being working in this city then in all Avastian (our continent) Ive heard tale of the new Machine Goddess from Numeria, this seems similar in nature.. perhaps whatever lives here is her followers. One can only hope they are not evil beings.
- Castrovel the Green: The entire planet appears to be covered with jungles, forests and swamplands. I can just make out a city shaped like a Crescent moon with a river flowing out of it.. If my eyes can be trusted it is peopled by Elves! on my charts there is a city named El, perhaps This is where the name Elf comes from.. the people of El!
- Somal, the Moon of our world: I can finally complete my observations of the Moonscar! What looks like a beautiful forest with the smaller telescopes i can make out to be a twisted horrific forest something from the Abyss that is home to Demons of all types, Abyssal plants and other Fiendish monsters ive never even heard about before. Scary place. Thankfully they are many miles away and unable.. hopefully to invade our world. very scary nightmare place i never want to go to!
- Akiton the Red: This planet appears to be covered with vast deserts and icy plains. The southern pole is covered with ruins poking out of the ice.. twisted nightmareish creatures from the darkness beyond the crystal sphere are awaking and reestablishing themselves.. Gods i hope they do not choose to come here.. or someone can find some way to deal with them.. ive heard nightmares about the Elderthings. Alas the largest mountain in the entire crystal sphere Ka, is not visible on this side of the planet Akiton. Perhaps another day..
- Verces the Line: Tidal locked to the Burning Mother only one side is visable, an immense desert spans across the entire half of the planet. None of the fables cities of the rim nations are visible from here.
- The Dispora: This ring of astroids is all that remains of the twin planets thought to have crashed into each other 7 or 8 thousand years ago. The Planetoid of Nisis is visible tonight, its icy crust glistening in the light of the heavens.
- Eox the Dead: The Facinora Basin is visible.. this crater for lack of better terms is far far larger then the whole of Avastion. This devistation is what casued the loss of all life on the planet. it is now filled with huge packs of ghosts, glass serpents and ellicoths. I can see no reason that the living would ever need to go to Eox. After all is ruled by a group known as the bone sages and well the countless undead that were created in the cataclysm that transformed Eox from a garden world to the dead and lifeless place it now is.
- Triaxus the Wanderer: This is its farther, colder orbit. I can see a battle be faced across most of the surface between what appears to be elves and dragons of all colors. it seems the forces are all consolidating around a location my charts call Spurnhorn. For good or ill the battle for Triaxus will be decided in a huge, huge, huge war. I hope the forces of good prevail. May Erastil grant his favor to those of the light.
- Liavara the Dreamer: This planet is the most beautiful ive seen tonight. it has rings of every concievable color roating around it.. inhabited by what appear to be gargantuan elementals and what appear to be whales of such size the smallest would not fit within the water of Lake Encarden to the north east of us.
- Brethena the Cradle: This entire planet is covered with storms of imense size. The Eyes of the Ancient was visible tonight.. located in the southern hemisphere they are tens of thousands of miles wide.. and are actually visible to just a spyglass.. not even a telescope. The three storms form a perfect equilateral triangle.
- Apostae the Messenger: This is strange.. the planet is the smallest of all the others, even some of the moons are larger. I can make out that the surface appears to be rocky and devoid of all life. Yet scattered mathematically across the surface there are huge, huge metal doors that appear to be sealed tight. What mysteries and wonder lie sealed behind those doors to be discovered.
- Aucturn the Stranger: This who planet glows with a sickly yellow-green fog. This world while rarely visbile from our planet is tonight in the sky. I see many horrors and nightmarish creatures. The beings of Leng have a strong presence. Acorting to my charts.. this is not even a planet.. but a sleeping, slumbering nascent Great Old One. If it ever awakens.. everything is over. There is no hope when a planet twice the size of our own.. becomes awake and eats everything smaller, and larger then itself.
