Episode 37 : THE PARTY PLATOON
The conflict continues! Enraged by setbacks on ROCOSA and LIUMA , MASON has ordered an increase in the gathering of resources to help fuel the BITESKREIG OFFENSIVE!
The KITTY REBELLION, realizing that the only way to slow them down is to cut off the MEOW ORDER and their allies THE WARIOS, from the wealth of resources found on the planets of the OUTER RIM.
The 216th regiment has been given a vital mission on PLANET 442-1a but LBF intelligence has indicated the possibility of a BLOCKADE around the planet. In a briefing room onboard the PICO DE GALLO, GENERAL PEPE meets with THE PARTY PLATOON to discuss their strategy.....
THE SITUATION
PEPÉ-share’s information that we learned from the Supa-fuzzy attack droid that we got from Java.
it uses special type of iron in the battery called STEROIDIUM
very rare and only found on planet 442 1A.
Pepé tells the Party Platoon that this will be a sabotage mission on the Meow order base located on Planet 442-1A. He has a (LINK THE MAP HERE SOON) map of the planet and shows us
target #1 is warehouse which stores the Steroidium
Target #2 is the Bridge.
Because of the extremely HIGH WINDS in the area, the bridge is the only way to transport the cargo t o and from the base.
High winds also make very dangerous to approach from the air
THE PLAN
Pepé and the Party Platoon come up with a plan
- land with a CARRIER SHUTTLE about 5 clicks away from base
Use small, quiet speeders to travel through the Boreal forest
Steroidium is highly explosive, so small explosives will do the trick
Opposition has a few CAT-AT’s, Heavy Armored transports, and speeder bikes
Wolfurrito points out a Dam upriver and the crew decide to try to bust the dam and flood the river as a distraction
Climb ravine below the bridge and plant remote detonators.
Find a way in to blow up the warehouse
THE OTHER PROBLEM
Pepé brings up that there is probably a BLOCKADE that we need to get through first
we decide that we’ll hide transport ship on one of the 3 moons surrounding the planet. Wolv ,Parker, and Annie hide the ship.
the rest of the Platoon use fighters and create an opening in the blockade
GET READY
Milo, and Wolfurrito go With Bill to get gear for the mission
they select mini Chompys- 4
grapple hook launchers
Magna-shoes -magnetized shoes, look like snowshoes
stun batons and muzzles
rope + cat toy
Andy works out and gets 3 strength juice
Wolfurrito went to the the Cantina 3 juice of snacks
Stibbins - training room on ship simulations 3 juice for “shoot to thrill”
BATTLE STATIONS!
Pico De Gallo and 2 other ships comes out of hyperspace and see 4 Meow Order Cruisers blockading the planet
party platoon goes out in fighters, Andy Pandy says stick with your wingman
Stibbins and Wolfurrito- both in Wedgewing fighters (small,fast)
Andy, Gary (KARAOKE)in a Dragonfly, and Mandy (Ace) in a Wedgewing
Justin (Harvest Time!) in Catopia Interceptor, and Annie (Boomer) in a bomber.
Stibbins and Wolfuritto’s first attack run surprises the destroyers and takes out 4 turbo laser cannons each on 2 separate destroyers
Andy tries to draw the unengaged destroyers into the fight and away from the landing shuttles flight path to the planet
Meow Order launches fighter squadrons
Stibbins goes right at them and they scatter, but leaves himself vulnerable in the risky attack. Through some crazy flying he avoids their attack
Wolfurrito goes after the scattered fighters and blows a few up but gets singed in the explosions
Justin and Ace are flying around the destroyers like bugs- causing some good damage.
The 4th destroyer is still blocking the landing crews path. Andy tries to get it to engage and fails, it launches more fighters instead.
Andy gets hit but his shields hold up as he yells “bring it on kitty’s, Panda’s can take it!”
Justin and Mandy do a bombing run and disables one destroyers guns completely
- we then try to sell the bluff that we’re trying to board the destroyers and don’t want anything to do with the planet itself
Stibbins zooms in an indent on one of the destroyers and does stunt driving- to avoid the explosion.
Stibbins blows up hanger doors so they can’t launch ships
Andy manages to take out comm device on one ship but has a fighter on his tail, calls hotshot for help. Stibbins accelerates and target locks and blasts it out of the sky
The Meow Order Launch Supa-Fuzzy fighters- Wolfurrito manages to avoid their attack with style
Andy instead of running, turns and attacks them head on and takes solid damage on his fighter
The Pico De Gallo and others join the fight and draw the Meow Order cruisers away and Andy gives the signal for the Party Platoon to rendezvous with the landing ship
We hide our fighters on the moon and board the landing ship and head to the planet
ON THE PLANET
High winds are shaking the ship violently, the engine gets hit with some debris and goes out. we have a rough landing with some damage to the ship.
We use Chameleon tech to hide the ship in the forest.
Wolv stays to make repairs, Gary stays there to be the lookout and help
Send Mandy (ace) to recon the base while the rest of us head to the dam
THE DAM
-Amanda, Andy, Boomer (Annie), Harvest time(Justin), and Karaoke (gary) get on the little hopper speeder bikes that we acquired from Bill
-Wolfurrito and Stibbins scout ahead on foot
this planet reminds Wolfurrito of Timberland and feels very confident here
Stibbins finds dried up lake and some tracks indicated speeder bikes come through this area
at one point Wolfurrito climbs up on Stibbins shoulders and sniffs and listens. He has some special abilities in this area and he is able to tell that there are about 7 cats guarding the dam. They are having a little chat about the latest release of CAT FOOD COLLECTOR video game.
Stibbins climbs a tree and uses the string toy gun and is able to draw 5 of the cats into the trees as Andy and Amanda put them in a bear hug. The others put muzzles on them.
Wolfurrito has bp8(Back-Pack-Eight, his backpack droid) help him try to impersonate a CAT FOOD COLLECTOR game salesperson. He walks out of the forest and right up to the last 2 cats.
- The trick works and the cat gives him the communicator so he can download the game He even tricks them into punching in their passcode before Baby Park (Parker) comes up behind and bonks on of them on the head.
Stibbins takes the other one down with a sniper shot from the tree.
We use the CHOMPY’s to chew through the dam successfully.
- We start a small hole which we know will eventually cause a complete bust, but will give us some time to get to the next spot before it does
Gain the Story tag meow order communicator, we take all 7 but only 1 has the code punched in.
GET TO THE BASE
Head overland no issues and meet up with Ace
She tells us the climb looks dangerous with all the wind because there’s no tree cover in the ravine
Wolfurrito makes a wind app with BP8. Figures out that In the next hour it will change direction and will give us the best chance for the climb
We check the Space battle and can see that it is a comfortable stalemate. Looks like we will have some time hopefully
In the next hour we decide to set up traps to cause chaos for the Meow Order
Stibbins sets up a trap with some logs up in some trees that will swing
Andy Digs a big hole and set up a trap
Wolfurrito sets up a rock slide trap
we discuss using the communicator to try to hack system and turn off alarms. Hide it as we are just running an “updating” of the system.
Stop right there!
-As the crew head over to the ravine to make the climb, a couple cats on speeder bikes come behind us and say “stop right there”
