- They went to Tristan’s first. They got there at mid-day and found him tending the shop.
- Noticed that his cupboards seemed emptier than in the past.
- Shopkeepers’ guild was approved by the King’s Council about a year ago.
- Grain costs have increased about 50% in the past six months- nobody knows why. The guild submitted a request for an audience with Lady Valletta but hasn’t heard back.
- Tristan said that he thinks the grain crisis will run it’s course, but that anything they can do to help him stock non-food items for sale could help him out.

- Elizabeth won a lottery to attend the Masters’ Institute as a teacher, but saw the need for someone to protect and promote history in the city. She lobbied for the role of official curator and was granted it, then lobbied for funding for the museum about 10 years ago.
- Proud of museum being a physical representation of old city and new city coming together
- Elizabeth is interested in Kiril’s magical education (foreign) grilling Kiril on anything and everything related to his magical education.
- She is disappointed that magical education is as rigid as the one in Aendrim. She is surprised that Kiril may be able to continue his education even though he’s old enough/educated enough to leave the school and enter the working world. She refers to her cousin who works in a storage house freezing meat that comes out of a packing plant every day (he knows one spell which freezes things)
- She explains that one of the biggest perks of working at her job is that she gets to investigate and learn about whatever she wants without interference.
- She offers to spend an afternoon showing him the museum’s collection of magical artifacts and texts in the future.
- Calvin notices a note from the government re: application to store magical items, says that they are approved but must catalog all items and store records with government and at museum, must take magical countermeasures to keep magic contained, must quarantine prohibited magic with additional countermeasures and provide written proof of countermeasures within 30 days.
- She is not happy when they tell her their real purpose- feels that they deceived her when using student status to get the meeting.
- “The Heartstone”, she is upset that it was in a private collection, doesn’t feel sorry for the guy. She is interested in what he has in his private collection in Kellador. She comments that the Heartstone would be a great addition to the Museum’s collection if it could be recovered.
- Calvin memorizes Elizabeth’s signature. Letters have seals from the institutions sending them + seals of noble houses if the letter is from a member of a noble house. Calvin memorizes these too.
- Valetta, Navarr, Vorona seals, seals of all government agencies were seen.
- Elizabeth takes them to a protected room behind a door with a complex locking mechanism. This room is down in the archives (down one floor).
- Calvin notices that she used two keys among a bunch of other steps to open the door to the restricted artifact room.
- Eddard’s employers have tried to curry favor with extraplanar beings before. Elizabeth doesn’t trust that they won’t just try to find the eyes and complete the ritual themselves.
- “I can’t share further until I know what will happen with the information that I give you, because the implications could affect us all”
- Elizabeth.
- Calvin memorizes the combination to exit and the look of the key (would know it if he saw it)
- “Hiding your heritage is a disservice to your history. We should be proud of who and what we are”- Elizabeth.
- The party parted ways with Marin, who wants to continue working for Eddard. He doesn’t believe in the ritual or that Tharizdun exists or can be restored.
- The party left off having rested overnight at Tristan’s, with a morning appointment back with Elizabeth.
