Session 40: Arch Fey-vours
General Summary
2nd-4th Horisal 836PD 2nd Horisal The party awoke after a restful slumber to tackle the trek back toward the Lord of the Hunt’s camp. Enessa found herself to be no longer deformed, but felt as if she hadn’t slept at all. Somehow, over the course of the next two and a half hours, the party made good progress before some divinely-channelled power helped the group walk across the river that had given some of them so much trouble the previous day. With time to spare, they made it back to the Lord’s encampment, Enessa grateful for the soothing and uplifting words, both spoken and sung, from Ceridwen. Without a word, Enessa handed the amulet of the fallen Druid of the Old Ways to the Lord of the Hunt, who confirmed the man as a follower of Lolth. After a brief conversation with Enessa during which the bow of Sigruun, a minor goddess of the hunt and follower of Melora, named Death’s Whisper was produced, the Lord of the Hunt confirmed the party would be allowed to leave post haste, following a spot of breakfast. Unmasking the party’s own Lord and Knight as the breakfast commenced, the four members of the Grey Hunt were restored from their shadow hound form. As the others ate, Zeni questioned the Lord on what they learned to be the Tower of Riches, as Ceridwen gave the hunting party an entertaining account of the battle, they had won hard with the giant and his followers. The account pulled no punches and nor did the audience seem to want them pulled. As it grew to be time to leave, the Lord of the Hunt granted the party use of his steed, the use of which made light work of traversing back through the portal to Exandria, although the journey proved tougher work mentally for Wind, Orlando, Simeon, Sabali and one of the members of the Grey Hunt, who could remember nothing of their time in the Feywild. This knowledge was not immediately apparent however as upon return, Lord Raphael rounded on Lady Enessa with venom, questioning the deal she had made with the Lord of the Hunt through which he may ask Enessa for three favours. As Ceri sought to ascertain how Enessa felt, who was comfortable with her decision, Zeni attempted the same with Raphael, who was less than comfortable. Seeming to fear as much for Enessa as himself, the Knight was able to see parallels but also differences with his own situation as Zeni tried to entice him to approach Enessa with support rather than censure. Whilst the party had spent a couple of days and nights in the feywild, time moves differently in comparison to the material plane, with them returning just several hours after they had left on the 2nd. 2-4th Horisal Over the next day and a half the party make their way back to Whitestone, with the Lady Vex’halia and Lord De Rollo very happy to be reunited, as were the party with the child Eva. Making some preparations that were more successful than others, the party then attended a celebratory dinner where they not only received a handsome financial reward for the safe return of Lady Vex’halia and the members of the Grey Hunt, but in which Wind and Zeni both acquired items of significant worth from Vex’halia’s own personal collection. Completing the mission required of him by Lord Percy, the party were pleased to see Sergeant Boom granted access to the workshop of the tinkerer of death dealing weaponry. Enessa had a dream of a tree deep in a lost forest, could it be where the quiver to the Vestige Bow lies? But before she can find anymore out, a dark presence crawls along her back, claiming her as "mine!!". The Unbroken reach level 7! Linked Journals
