Session 144: The Bronze Shackle

General Summary

17th-18th Sydenstar 836PD   17th   As Orlando finishes crafting Arthur’s new clockwork quarterstaff and rest of prep. Raph does evening dream with Pick the night before the cult gathering. Pick informs them that a robed figure called Karkematth has joined the gathering masses of an army, and is preparing a summoning ritual. Pick reluctantly agrees to continue to stay as a spy amongst the cult forces. The Unbroken debate what to do with the prospect of another ritual being led by Karkematth versus protecting the Bronze Shackle, but Orlando’s commune with Moradin reveals that the Karkematth ritual is to pull forth the Aspect but is dependent on the Bronze Shackle being destroyed.   18th   The party rest and just as they finish their Heroes’ Feast breakfast, they are pulled into a summoning circle alongside with Nirathram the Shackle. Nirathram is bound by Latara’s ritual, but the Unbroken are free to fight against the Enchantress, her Chain Breaker Cultists and a corrupted Ogre. Through a vicious battle of Deathly Symbols and Anti-Magic, Orlando lands the killing blow on Latara and the Unbroken successfully save the Bronze Shackle of Kord.   Looting Latara’s body find Blast Sceptre, Robe of Eyes, her Lock-Breaker symbol of Tharizdun and the Amulet of the Lightning Bearer, the Key to Summoning Nirathram she stole from J’mon Sa Ord.   The Unbroken reach level 19!
