Session 148: Extracurricular Activities

General Summary

21st-22nd Sydenstar 836PD   Whilst the Depository Master begins the process to allow the Unbroken to access the secret vaults of the Reserve, the Unbroken continue their investigation of the Obsidian Cult. They visit the tavern where the surviving curse assassin remembers meeting their leader, the Shadow Sovereign. They find a room that was hired under the name of Professor Nattvisk, where beneath the illusion of a tidy room is the scene of a bloody brawl.   Arthur and Zeni find the remains of a journal of the original Shadow Sovereign had been overthrown by a ‘Lock-Breaker’ and twisted the cult to his goals. The Unbroken investigate the Professor’s office at the Silver Shard university, revealing his secret dealings as the original Shadow Sovereign and that he and the university had also been recently funded by Lord Treacy.   The party find out that the mysterious benefactor will be attending a fundraising gala at the university the next evening, and they secure an invitation. The Unbroken rest at a high-end inn for adventurers, and get some suitable formal wear in preparation for the gala.
