Session 65: Home is where the Arch-Heart is

General Summary

4th to 7th Thunsheer 836PD   4th-5th Thunsheer   Party arrives in Syngorn, and they soon split up to make preparations for mission to save Pallius.   Rapahel and Zeni contact Raph’s local informant (Morquen Crimsonflight) to get information on Darktow, it’s ruler the Plank King and Captain Drakkar. Morquen shares that they knew of Drakkar, due to helping a former slave of his, a female tabaxi named Mist in the Morning. With permission Zeni uses detect thoughts to get a description of Mist, and she has an uncanny resemblance to Sabali, maybe even a familial resemblance. They were last seen heading to the Dividing Planes, but were trying to get to back to home in Nicodranas in Wildemount.   Simeon and Orlando go to the military command to inform Captain Leonovo of the Eagle Squadron that the Storm’s Call airship will be arriving on the 8th, with the captain suggesting it land on the Lake Ywnnlas. Simeon can’t quite persuade the captain to get an inspection of the eagles, in order to learn it’s shape for polymorph. But later that evening Tarathiel’s son, Lianthorn of the squadron, helps Simeon to get familiar enough with his eagle.   Tarathiel and her wife Yanifer, reacquaint themselves at the library, whilst they research the Storm Crest mountains as an identified area where one of the anchors holds the Chained Oblivion is located. Tarathiel can’t get much information on the anchor, but does find mention of the Cavern of Axiom, site linked to the Goddess Ioun, the Knowing Mentor, and that it can be accessed through the Frostweald.   The party spend the evening at Tarathiel’s home, meeting her family (Wife Yanifer and sons Merellian and Lianthorn). Merellian of the ground infantry shared that he had recently been stationed to help the Shields of the Plains from Westruun in response to growing Ravager activity in the plains and Shadebarrow. 3 Slaughter Lords including Kardar as their leader have joined forces to ravage the areas.   6th to 7th Thunsheer   The party continue their preparations and get some time to explore Syngorn. Tarathiel shares her experiences of Corellon, the Arch Heart, in order to help Enessa with her quest to remove Lolth’s claim on her soul. Enessa wanders the Reverie Walks to find the Stone of the Arch Heart, and receives a vision. But it will put her on a path that must split her from the Unbroken. She shares her goodbyes with the group and sets off with Ussi into the wild.
