Session 25: Debts Repaid
General Summary
29th Cuersaar - 1st Duscar 835PD Early in the night, with Thomas Pennerton now safe, the party weary from the vault battle they debate whether to push on immediately to the lodge to rescue Duncan Pennerton in case the oni retreats to Edon, or hope their deception has worked and rest to fully infiltrate and potentially assault the lodge. The party decide to rest as facing another possible combat would be suicide in their condition. The party are escorted by Erik and the local huntsman that Enessa hired from the tavern and arrive at the lodge before dawn, covered with the clinging darkness of the night. Taking down some guards, Zeni makes use of her flying potion and Ceri draws on her angelic heritage to both fly and rescue Lord Duncan from his window. An alarm is tripped but the party manage to get Duncan and themselves away without having to face Edon and the Myriad forces. Raph's deception had worked indeed as he soon receives Edon's messages for Thomas to be killed, unknown that they've already saved him. Father and son are reunited and the Shields make their move to secure the lodge, but find that it has been abandoned. The party receive their awards, Wind gets her blood back, and Ceri is granted the Pennerton's family sword, Valour's Edge. The Unbroken reach level 5! Linked Journals
